Halo not being generic, is what makes Halo non generic. Be honest, you still dont understand the meaning of the word do you? (or you're just trolling).

Halo shared features I've seen in plenty of other shooters which since it's breakthrough first game hit failed to impress me with anything new but rather provided gameplay I had found tireless and can find in plenty of other shooters.
If you don't find this satisfactory then just well, deal with it.

Regenerating Health, hotkeys for melee and grenades.
its gameplay is different to most FPS, eg, no-iron sights, no kill streaks, its definitely not "generic" you are wrong.
it also separates itself from other "generic" FPS's by actually having a decent single player mode.

And there are lots of other games that don't include those features, a full 20 years worth of the fps library didn't include those.
