Year 2020 the Coronapacalypse

Hello everyone,

It has been years and years since I've done a blog. Lots of stuff has happened in between then and now. I have came a long way from them Hollywood Video days. A part of me is sad that my very first workplace died out with the age of digital streaming taking over. My career spans from retail, hospitality, military, and defense contracting. I now have a family which includes a lovely wife, wonderful son, and a dumb cat lol (he cute though). Video gaming has came a long way in all this time from blowing into Nintendo cartridges to get them to work to waiting on god awful downloads to play the game you just bought from the store. In my opinion the older gamers like me are salty that these big developers and publishers have ruined gaming for us. Younger gamers don't know the feeling of going to the store to get a whole completed game without god awful updates. They just know updates, microtransactions, and subscription based online play is the norm now-a-days. But, for older gamers like me we yearn for the retro and now with so many advances in technology we have oodles of options. From the Retron 5 to running original hardware on your TV with HD link cables. My entertainment center is kind of small and I have limited real estate on my entertainment center. I have my PS4 Pro, PS3 Super Slim, Sega Dreamcast, and Sega Genesis mini occupying my real estate. The PS2, N64, Xbox One S, Retron 5, and PS2 slim aren't on the entertainment center now they are put up. The next Sega system I'll be venturing into is the Sega Saturn if I can get a decent one in great condition which is really hard to find. But, gaming is still a big hobby of mine and I try to get time to enjoy it when I can. My son likes to game it up with me but, since he is special needs he needs help to game he is happy though. Old school gamers like me prefer the couch multiplayer over the online multiplayer any day. You know it's going to be lit when four player 007 Goldeneye goes down in the room. What games are you playing? How is life going for you? Mine is great and I'm playing everything!

Brawler 6 out,

Hollywood Video

My first job was at hollywood video home of the low rental prices and high dollar snacks.  The best about working there is that you can rent movies before people can see them.  But, you would always have to return them pre-streak movies in one day, instead of the five day rental period.  Hollywood Video pay sucks, and trying to advance sucks, plus some managers really suck.  My first hollywood video store I worked at was the best.  That store is in Albuquerque, Jaun Tabo street next to menaul street.  That first store was just sooooooo huge!!!!  Jaun Tabo had over 68,000+ titles which was considered a Hollywood Video Library store.  The Jaun Tabo store is the only video library in the whole state of New Mexico.  This store had the highest rentals becuase we had the most movies.  Game selection was shocking there were sooo many games it was like I was in a candy store.  No sh|t the new release was was five times longer than a regular store. Well, enough of the store you get the point.  I really liked working at hollywood video but, the starting pay was slave labor.  Plus, the manager that hired me said their is room for improvement if I wanted a better posistion I had it.  Which, I never got after working for hollywood video for nine months of my life.  Good thing I quit because hollywood video is an evil slave labor company like wal-mart.  Now, I work at a better place with better pay and better positions.
