Great game deals

Hollywood Video is closing the bottom 200 Gamecrazy stores, which includes the one by my house, so their are some crazy deals going on there. Everything in the store is 30% off and even though they sent all the new/popular stuff off to other stores there are still some gems hidden. I saw the hitman trilogy collection for PS2 (too bad I dont have one) but I did buy Jeanne D'arc for only $11! Thats pretty good considering its listed on the PSN for $22.99. I also have enough points on Goozex (trading websitehttp://www.goozex.com/referral.asp?idr=6204929615804) for Tekken 6 PSP which I will request when it comes out on Nov. 24. I traded my copies of Star Wars: KOTOR (XBOX), Morrowind: GOTY (XBOX), and Star Wars: TFU (PSP) for it. IfI traded those to gamestop I would've only got around $7 (I know for a fact that Morrowind is worth $0 probably because it isnt backwards compatible). Anyway everything is going good thanks for reading!

Summer update

Its been a great summer so far, I've been staying with my grandma (she has moderate dementia) during the week and only coming home on the weekends. It works out OK especially since I keep my 360 over there, although she doesn't have any internet, and strangely enough she actually likes watching me play (shes 87), her favorite is Mass Effect which i'm in the middle of my second playthrough. I have to wait until she goes to bed to play this

my favorite horror game of all time (3rd playthrough it never gets old)I have been rereading some of H.P. Lovecraft's stories so I broke it out again :). More importantly though I am going on vacation soon!I visit my mom's family in Spokane, Washington every year, which, while some might not relish spending 3 weeks with relatives, it is the high point of my year, and i get to escape from my step-mom for a while (she hates my mom's family). This year im going by myself (my brother cant make it) and im also going to spend a few days in Seattle with my dad's brother as well as a camping trip in Round Lake, Idaho. As if that wasn't enough my Aunt's sister is getting married on August 1, i'm going to arrive July 30, so i'll be very busy. Well thats enough about my trip, tommorrow Im going rafting down the American river with some of my friends and hopefully by next week i'll have scrounged together 30 bucks for Oblivion: GOTY edition, although school will probably interfere with that playthrough cause it starts again on August 24 . That is pretty much all of my life at this time, I hope all of you guys had good summers too and hopefully those of you in school won't have to worry about it untill after labor day.

Where do you buy games

Ive got a gamecrazy and a gamestop both close to my house but I always end up going to gamecrazy cuz gamestop rips me off every time. They were selling The Darkness (I gave it a 7.0) for 19.99 used but I got it at gc for 9.78. Now I'm trying to get Hitman: Blood Money but gc with its tiny store doesn't have it. I called gs and they told me they have several copies of Hitman for 24.99 used which is outrageous for a game that came out in May of 2006. I like gc's prices but hate their crappy selection and the opposite for gs. Where do you guys buy your games?

Wolfenstein

As some of you might know Id and Raven are teaming up on a new game in the Wolfenstein franchise titled simply "Wolfenstein". It looks really fun so, it is a gory WWII era F.P.S. with an occult twist. Ithas conventional weapons like the MP40 (you can upgrade it witha silencer and alot of other stuff) and "vale "powered weapons like the tesla and particle cannons.Check out these videos for some gameplay. http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6211564/, (E3 stage demo) http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6211573/wolfenstein-stage-demo listen carefully at 2:54 of the second video :)

My "most anticipated" list

There was alot of great games shown at E3 and these are the ones im most interested in(in order).

360 games ,The first two are essentials,

1. Splinter Cell: Conviction

2. Alan Wake

3. Assasain's Creed 2

4. Modern Warfare 2

5. Dante's Inferno

6. Metal Gear Solid: Rising

7. Halo 3: ODST

PSP games

1. Metal Gear Solid: Peacemaker (really weird trailer)

2. Gran Turismo

3. Tekken 6

4. Resident Evil

5. SOCOM: FTB3

6. Little Big Planet

Did I miss any? What did you guys think about the press conferences? Natal kind of makes me sad, I love gamepads they have always defined the system for me (N64 wins the bizzare award).

My TS review

I just posted my review of SOCOM: Tactical Strike so if you have played TS tell me how I did, and if you haven't and you own a PSP you should go pick it up.

Fighting Games

I just recently got into fighting games, prolly some time late last year, but my collection is really growing. I have soul caliber 2 (XBOX) and Tekken 5DR (the best), Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, and KoF:99 all for PSP (KoF is from the PSN). Plus i'm also getting UFC: 2009 this week as well as going on a hunt for KoF The Collection: Orochi Saga(94, 95, 96, 97 &98 for PSP) and Samurai Showdown Anthology (all 7 for PSP) in the bargain bins, altough they will be very hard to find. The PSP really is a good system for fighting gamesespecially 2d games but I think that im going to expand my collection to cover my 360. Anyway what are some of the fighting gamesthat you guys have?

Randy "The Moviestar" Couture

The title of my blog is kind of misleading because he plays a pretty minor role but nonetheless "The Natural" was in a fairly big 2008 movie that I had never heard of until today. The movie is called Redbelt and is about a VERY upstanding jui-jitsu instructor who is faced with some moral choices a string ofvarious events occur. The movie gets pretty convolutedand it ends very abruptly, not to mention a not so plausible ending but it holds up quite well. As i said before it was a pretty big movie (wikipedia said that it had a budget of 10 million) and i would be interested to know if any of you have ever heard of it. Although it still doesnt dethrone Bloodsport (with Jean Claude VanDamme)as my favorite fighting genre movie it is a pretty decent movie and fight fans should check it out, i saw it on in the Starz on demand section of comcast channel 1.
