I'm of the opinion that if they didn't put it into the movie itself that it hardly counts.

Anyways I don't care either way if its real or fake cause that movie sucked.

You really had to pay attention to the ARG to FULLY enjoy and understand the movie.

1. All of the Info comes from the ARG (Alternate Reality Game) that led up to the movie.

2. Not too sure what TYPE of animal the monster is. That was never mentioned in the ARG or the movie.

3. JJ Abrams has stated that the monster in the movie is a baby, meaning that it's mother is possibly still swimming around in the Ocean somewhere... (but if you go to 1-18-08.com, you can see pictures of the military bombing the hell out of some animal, which I personally believe is it's mother)

The only reason I would see the sequal is because they left so many things unanswered. I hate that.
