Having had my X-Box 360 for a little over a month now, I'm finally starting to feel a part of the next generation of gaming.
Yeah, I've had a Wii for a while, but with the limited sources of games that I play, mostly RPG, there wasn't much for me play. Sure, the Wii is great for parties, and playing with others, but I'm really much of solo gamer and Wii just didn't offer much out there. Not to mention the graphics aren't exactly spectacular. Ok really it's just a white Gamecube with a sleeker design and novel input scheme, and we all know how the Cube's story turned out: few great games, but nothing to really keep me away from my PS2.
Now with the 360 it feels like I'm part of something. Sure, there aren't many RPGs on the 360, but lets face it there aren't many RPGs currently anywhere. No, instead the 360 offers me a sense of community from the comfort of my home. Finally, I can play with other gamers without the pressure of being a good host. I can sit in my pjs, kick some butt, and order a pizza without feeling as if I'm being rude. I feel like I'm a part of something bigger than myself, while still feeling comfortable with myself. In the end isn't that what we all want for the next generation.
