Don't waste your money on it TBH, yes it'll give you performance boost but you'll be gaining 50% of the GPU you'll choose to install - also that Razer Core isn't cheap - it's 300$ - that's the price of RTX4060 a good modern GPU for 1080p.

For gaming it's not fully compatible.

There's no Direct X only emulators and it uses best of Vulkan.

I would say simply try Ubuntu first which is the most similar to Windows, after getting along with it (maybe install it via VM or as second partition) then you could move into more gaming dedicated distro such as Fedora, Nobara, POP or Drauger.

Lots of them are basically Ubuntu with touches and cuts designed better for gaming.

Before you jump into Linux gaming you should check https://www.protondb.com/ to see if the game you want to play work well on PC.

Tons of compatible games but not all newly released games instantly compatible on Linux - if you're into play the latest releases stay on Windows.

@sew333: as @04dcarraher said try to cap the power - or maybe even underclock the CPU / RAM / GPU to see if that solves it in case you're keep on getting the issue.

Bro choose whatever suits you the most, you don't pick an apartment by where to install your PC, you'll find a place to install a PC where ever you can.

You choose apartment by what looks most modern, number of rooms, airflow, sunlight, neighbors, facilities, neighborhood and most importantly cost.

@cyprusx: RAD size doesn't mean much - it's all about the quality and quantity of fans installed.

You can have simple 120MM AIO installed, just install 2 Noctua fans to it and you're good to go.

I'm not sure about the 8Tb old drive, nice for backup storage but I wouldn't edit videos on it as an output.

Also why did you choose 1 + 2 + 4 Tb Nvme's? why not 2 x 4Tb? or 2Tb and 6Tb.

I never had issues with Asus, got several motherboard from them and currently own one ATM, I once had to send tablet back at them - deliver guy came within a week and I got it back the week afterwards.

Yes their product usually pricy over other brands but hey it's their decision you're not forced to buy them thank god there're plenty of rivals.

If anything I say boycott Nvidia with their GPU prices but then again they're the leading GPU so they can do whatever they want if the customers are willing to pay, I guess why not.

Regarding the Asus claims I guess they need to change the CEO or something if they stagger a lot of bad reviews and complains that increased over the time.

That didn't answer my questions, do you get any error? have you checked event viewer? we can all plunder in the void trying to assist but you'll have to provide more info since it's the only game you're having problems with.
