 Yep, the league did die.  I blame myself for not recruiting outside of these forums.  I am in two other leagues that are going strong though. 

1. Cowboys/Eagles
2. Cowboys/Giants
3. Cowboys/Redskins
4. Cowboys/Steelers
5. Cowboys/49ersD-Tru-King

Just becuase the Cowboys have been on TV forever doesn't mean they have the best rivalries. They only THINK they're the most visible franchise too. The Steelers are superbowl champs and looked good against the Titans, but not that good. A couple FG's and they lose that game.

As far as pure hatred rivalry.. not factoring in how good they are:

Packers/Bears

Giants/Cowboys

Patriots/Colts

Steelers/Ravens

Eagles/Giants

Falcons/Saints

Packers/Vikings

We've advanced to Week 2. Games are due by next Monday again.

I added an accelarated clock to speed the games up some. The games were simply too long if you call plays quickly. Almost everybody got their games in.

I think we should go ahead with our franchise.  The 32 team franchises are really struggling to finish week one!  People will always be welcome to join in and turn around one of the CPU teams, but I think it's time to get this partay started.

The Franchise Officially begins Today!!  All teams are open first come first server regardless of what has been posted in the forums.

If you're game is not played by MONDAY AUGUST 24th your game will be simulated and we'll advance to week 2.  What I would like is for us to get all the games in earlier so that I can advance it before Monday.

this is bad timing, but my 360 broke and i cant just send it in to microsoft to get it repaired for free because it aint the red rings......................its the laser so i gota pay outa my wallet. you guys can go on if u want without me because i mught take 2-3 weeks

I hate that for you man.  Honestly, I'm sure the league will still be around.  We may get started befor then, but it doesn't look like we'll be a full league that soon.  I do have 3 RL friends that aren't buying the game until next weekend.

I sent out a ton of invites to my friends at **** but they have organized a league there and just invited me to join theirs.  I'm going to go ahead and join their league as well.

You can join it if you have a goal line blitz account.  Their league is in about the same shape as ours.  I think a few might migrate over.  If you play in online sessions with other users please try to get a conversation going and invite them at your discression.

OMG you're so full of fail haha. You dont have to pay, use the redeem code on the back of manual. You have to pay only if you're using a used copy of the game. *Facepalm*

I honestly never take game manuals out of the box.  I wonder how many people did the same thing I did?  

LEAGUE UPDATE:

 The league is up and there IS a password on it.  What is happening to many leagues is that a guy will come in and play a match against the CPU for an easy win and sabotage the other teams.

We'll have to be patient, but we need to recruit quality players from these boards, real life, and from good game sessions.  I'm hoping we can advertise enough to get the league going by the end of the week.

OK, new plan.  I am unable to change the league from a password protected league to an open league at will.  A lot of the people that signed up here have not purchased the game yet.  

What I am going to do then is wait until Sunday August 16th at 1pm and make the league.  It will be first come 1st serve after that.  I imagine that it will take a few days to fill.  The leagues that are being created are filling up fast and I am envious.  IF YOU SIGNED UP HERE ALREADY and someone I do not know has taken your team I WILL MAKE AN EXCEPTION UPON REQUEST to fire the owner so that you can join.  This type of request will only be available until Wednesday 19th and I will ONLY do this for owners in this forum that have already signed up for the respective team.  Basically this gives you guys a 3 day window to get into the league with the team you signed up for.

Keeping it open will allow for owners to come and go freely until we have a solid league.  This sounds bad.. but it allows us to easily keep the league full of active owners.  Although, I can't imagine something like this being rewarding unless you stick with it.
