I'm baaaaaaack

What's up people? It's been a long time since I've been on here. Heck, it's been more than 1 year that I haven't checked the boards, just updating my game collection and stuff. Anyways, I'm still not posting on boards 'cause I think GS (not only GS but others sites as well) has turned into a real fanboy flaming battlefield but I digress... So I'll be here posting images, mostly PSP wallpapers. I finally got the hang of Photoshop, now I can't imagine my life without it. I'm thinking about taking some requests too (no... not this kind of request. Get your mind out of the gutter) but first I need to see what everyone thinks about my creations. It's mostly about 2 stuff: hockey and soccer so, enjoy...

Is it just me or...

Okay, so it's been almost two months since I got Winning Eleven 9 on the PS2 and this game is driving me nuts. I'm completely addicted to the Master League and I actually talk to the TV when  play. I like to think that I get through to my players on the field just like I do when I coach my brother's real-life team. So anyways, I play with Manchester United and I was wondering. Is it normal to curse players that you are controlling? Is it normal to threaten them that they won't be on the starting line-up for the next game if they keep on playing like that when they can't even hear you? Is it normal to curse the referee in a video game (he does make lousy calls, the freaking idiot). I'd like to think that I'm normal but my parents, their friends, my friends, all think that I'm crazy. Am I really losing my mind?

Let's talk about football (soccer)

So, I realized that my GS blog is pretty much empty whereas I'm around 14, 15 entries in other places, so I'm gonna ramble about football (soccer for all you norteamericanos).

So, I've been playing football since I was 6 years old. I saw the World Cup in 1994 and even though I was too young to understand tactics and throws and stuff like that, just seeing the Brazil team heating up the field got me thinking that this was the best thing ever.

When I first started playing, all I understood was don't let the ball get in our goal, kick it away, so I turned out to be a great defense. Back where I come from, girls don't play much so I played with the boys and I got myself the nicknames "the wall" and "Bulldozer".

I always played central defense, even when we finally got a girl's team. But after 7 years, I got fed up, walked up to the coach and told him to put me on the left wing (I'm left-handed/footed). Of course, he was pissed, I was his best defense and here I am wanting to go up to make some crosses. Still, he gave me my chance, and in the first game in my new position, I just ran up and down the field like the Energizer Bunny. He was impressed, and let me choose my position on every game.

Then, the girls' team disappeared. I went back with the boys, back on the defense but on the left-side :D  . In gym class, the guys realized that I knew how to play so they started to pass me the ball more often. Then, outside of classes, I became the secret weapon. The guys came up with 2 new nicknames, "Bob Carlos" and "Beckham" (cause I scored goals with a powerful left-foot kick and I have Beckham's Predator boots). Guys outside of school even said that my foot was dynamite.

About 2 years ago, I guy came from Africa and we immediately clicked. He could play any position, so I became his cover and he became mine. We drove other teams' defenses crazy. He'd go up with the ball and as soon as he was stuck, I'd ran on the wing, he'd pushed the ball up and I'd cross it to someone, as simple as that. In defense, he would help me block any attacks coming from my side.

Last year was probably my best year. I scored more and more goals with the guys. They all gave me high-fives in the halls, asking if I was coming to next practice and stuff. Sadly it was my last year in the school but as consolation, everyone knows that I scored the last goal of that year. That was pretty cool.

Now, I'm in Canada, where people don't go as crazy for football as other countries. Though since my brother and I got in Rosemere (our neighborhood), people've been impressed. My brother became the Zidane of the intercity team. I became the technical assistant/assistant coach of the team. Pretty cool at 17. Plus on Sundays, I play with a bunch of coaches who breathe football. That's sweet. 17 year old gal playing with guys 22 and up. 8)

Anyways, this summer is my chance to get on a girls' team, and maybe try out for the elite level. I just hope that I'll make it.

So, my little trip down memory lane is over. I'll try to think about my next post now.......

Hello everyone...

Well, it's been a long time since I've been here. Came back a couple of times but the forums don't seem as appealing as before... oh, well, I guess it's more time for gaming.

Anyways, for those of you who really know me, I finally left my f***d  up country . Now I'm living in Canada (Go Habs Go :!: ). Been living here since June last year and the one thing I can say is that winter storms s***ks especially when your school still works while every other school in the city is closed. Those French  , do they even think? Anyway, three months left, then I pass my "bac" and off to university, yeyyyyyyyyy!!!
