This is the Ghostbusters game that I have been waiting for the past 25 years of my life, and I am very happy with this really great game.
I have to say that I am and have been a huge fan of anything Ghostbusters since the first movie was released in the theaters and at that time in 1984 I was 9, and than I was 14 when Ghostbusters 2 was in the theaters in 1989. Also I just cant wait for Ghostbusters 3!
The movies are soo great that they are both my favorite movies ever, and I watch both movies atleast once a month for as long as I can remember. I own every vhs and dvd versions made in the USA and I even have the UK PAL Region 2 dvd versions of both movies. I also have the blu-ray version of Ghostbusters, and I am really hoping that Ghostbusters 2 comes out really soon on blu-ray too.
My review is about the single-player part of this great game.
The game itself is a true ghostbusters story that was written by Dan Aykroyd(Dr. Raymond Stantz) and Harold Ramis(Dr. Egon Spengler), and that is what makes the story soo great and it is alot better than if it was written by anyone else.
The gameplay is just perfect 'cause busting ghosts really does makes me feel good', and the controls are spot-on once you get the feel for it.
The sound is great as well, because it has the original music from the movies and this game has 6 of the original cast from the movies.
The graphics are really great and can easily compare to any of the best looking games on the Xbox360 and PS3 has currently. The graphics are soo good that it fits the atmosphere of Ghostbusters perfectly.
Playing this game on casual(easy) is alot of fun and is a very enjoyable experience and you really do feel like a ghostbuster, but this game on professional(hard, which is very hard) somewhat ruins the game and makes it seem like it isn't that fun to play because there are alot of parts that are just way to hard to do and you have to do it over and over again until you get through it.
I haven't even played the online multi-player part yet, because I just can't stop playing the single-player which atleast for me is very addicting and I can never get enough of it.
So Who Are You Gonna Call?
