What about the microtransactions they said they wanted to put in all future titles? Are they being dropped too, or will some new type of in-game fee be imposed on us? Something doesn't feel right here...
Nintendo gamers like the same thing over and over again, hence the huge number of IPs and exclusives. The sales numbers would agree with that sentiment, so I dunno what the hell they're talking about.
This poll wasn't meant to say that a crappy video game company is a bigger deal than environmental and financial catastrophe. It judges based on THREE criteria, and after looking at JUST the criteria, I can honestly say that I think EA fails to meet them more consistently than the other companies. I've dealt with multiple levels of their customer service, and I have never dealt with such incompetence in my entire life. Those folks don't deserve even half their paychecks. Add into it the early server closures and absolutely no support, and you EASILY have the worst company in America. Remember, they meet the criteria that Consumerist set, and it should be viewed as such.
@2bitSmOkEy @glennvolio I hear what you're saying, but in order for them to fix the multitude of mistakes they've made, the only thing they CAN do is close shop. And having dealt with a lot of EA's employees (at least their technical/PR staff), maybe a change of careers would be good for them.
I don't think anyone is "enjoying and embracing" microtransactions, EA. Tolerating them perhaps, but no one enjoys paying more money when they've already paid $60 for a game that is apparently incomplete. If this is their philosophy for the future of games, then I'm going to think REALLY hard before considering purchasing another EA title ever again.
