IN TERMS OF INNOVATION, the Wii is in first place, the Ps3 second, and the 360 third place. The Wii, with its highly motion sensitive controller, offers freedom in its gameplay. The ps3 controller only has a small motion senstive function, but it still has it...dissappointing it has no RUMBLE FEATURE (*grumble*). The 360, unfortunately, is just a upgraded xbox with 2 face buttons moved to shoulder buttons (which could've been done sooner if you asked me). Anyway, that's my opinion, and I think with my budget, I buy a Wii = ).
1) Guild Wars (Prophs+Factions+upcoming and future installments) 2) MGS 3 3) Halo 2 (although if we were stranded ALONE on the island, that means NO MULTIPLAYER, I would pick Halo 1 instead) 4) Super Mario 64 (the truly first game that truly inspired me) 5) Probably a rhythm game, or another stealth action game, or a fighting game - haven't decided which yet. Possible games are Amplitude, Splinter Cell:CT, and Street fighter Anniversary Collection. Most likely SF:AC (to practice).
Krauser from RE 4 and The End from MGS3 weren't too bad, but they were probably the highlight from their respective games (as for DMC3...I didn't play it). Well, Alma from NG(B) WAS a problem for me, and I just wish they made this feature sooner b/c the only way I beat her along time ago was by usin' ALOT of potions...Anyway, good stuff! Keep'em coming GS n Matt!
I really want to make my own game someday, or at least create my own custom (hand-picked) team to do so, and I'm really sad to hear that games might just cater to the hard-core in the future. I agree that factors like complex controls and interface, like what Ron Gilbert said, are the things that keep people from getting into games. Games are supposed to be meant for fun. For everybody. It's also interesting to hear that from 10 to 25 years a "plateau" will occur, meaning all games will finally be on level ground for better or worst. I am excited to get into this industry, and I will try out flash like Gilbert said. Keep'em coming Gamespot!
