It's interesting really. I know some of you gamers reading this will probably think, "what!? That's preposterous! How could games hurt people?" but let's be honest. ANYTHING can be an addiction. It doesn't have to be video games, or alcohol, or even drugs. It could be something as simple as television or books. If it consumes your life so much that it impedes your ability to do ANYTHING else, it's become an addiction. If you're playing 40+ hours a week (roughly 1/4 of the week), have no friends (online doesn't count), or it's harming your physical health, you can't deny it, games can become an addiction. Everything in moderation folks.

Now guys, while I do believe that certain games are truly pieces of art, such as Okami, Killer 7, and SotC, the thing is that everyone here is a gamer, so of course most of us are going to believe games are art. It's our past time, and we want it to become something "socially acceptable" by the general masses. Still, there are people out there that see games and nothing more than children's toys, just like there are people who see football as a stupid sport for big dumb guys, or that guns serve no purpose in modern society. These people aren't necessarily wrong, they just have different opinions and views. Remember, Art is in its true definition, undefinable (ha ha, that's an oxymoron if I ever ran into one). It's subjective, fleeting, and constantly changing and shifting. Roughly 130 years ago, no one considered post-impressionism as a real art style. One century ago, no one would ever consider photography as an art form. 80-90 years ago, no one would have considered movies to be an art form. So before you type another comment saying "I HAS NO IDEA WHY ANYONE WOULD THINK VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT ART", keep in mind that there is really no real way to define art, so while we are "right" in saying video games are an art form, the people who think video games will never be art can be considered "right" as well. But hell, maybe I'm just an art student for nothing and my belief in arts undefinability are "wrong". ;)

Ha ha ha, OMFG, I love reading the comments here, it's hilarious to see fanboys try and justify their console. I mean really, who the hell comes up with these excuses? "The PS3 has had less time to be developed?", "GS is being paid by Microsoft?", "But teh MGS4 exclusive!!!11! ?" Come on Sony fanboys, in case you haven't noticed, the PS3 has gotten an EXCLUSIVE AAAA, two exclusive AAA's and a couple of exclusive AA's to boot. Regardless of graphics, you can't deny that GS has certainly been giving the PS3 its fair share of good reviews.

Cool concept, but the lack of a GBA port kills it for me. The GBA was literally the PS2 of handhelds; cheap, easily accessible by all demographics, and had a s**tload of good games. While not nearly as much as last year when I went through a bargain bin-inspired GBA renaissance, I still play a lot of old GBA games so the lack of BC would not be acceptable. I guess that's why I refuse to by a 40GB PS3.

@Strider316 Despite Disgaea 1 being better than more than half the games on that list, they only listed games that had a score of 9.0 or above, which is a damn shame because there are tons of great games that have a rating lower than 9.0 that are still great bargains.

It's great that Spore can be run on such a wide spectrum of computers. I can even play it on my laptop and though I do give up quite a few settings, it's very playable except for in the Space stage if there's a lot of ships and cities on the screen at once.

You people clearly have little idea what you're talking about when you say that MS should just pull out and give up on Japan. Just look at Tales of Vesperia, that RPG fits PERFECTLY into the Japanese gamers' ideal game genre and they actually managed to sell out of consoles. Yes, MS doesn't stand a chance against its two Japanese competitors, but you have to give MS credit for diversifying their library. Honestly, I bought my 360 not for the boring FPSs and cliche Action games but for the RPGs that were available.

Rather creepy I have to admit, which is exactly why I love games like Wind Waker, No More Heroes, and Okami. The more we move towards realism, the harder it will be to create a unique artstyle. So yeah, bring on the realistic games, but at the same time, I'd like to see all that future hardware power be used to create some beautifully unique and artistic games.

Man, you fanboys are willing to argue over everything aren't you? Personally, with graphics so similar, what I personally care about is what kind of features and games the consoles can offer me, like downloadable content, online, exclusives, etc. Only time I'd choose one over the other is when gameplay performance is different, like in Orange Box.

Interesting, but if you were interested in Crisis Core in the first place, you would probably already know all of this.
