i miss days of like mplayer.com or whatever quake 2, people in the community knew i was a decent player just from reputation playing 1 vs 1 or winning free for all matches all the time. i didnt need some stat i cheated to get saying im badass

Why is it that 99% of servers features some sort of server ranking thing in games that don't have leveling up? Oh yeah, because people like that stuff.

stats/rank doesnt prove a players true skill. you actually beating people 1 vs 1 and build a reputation within the community is how it's really done. this noob stuff pisses me off.
When did I ever say rank = skill?
I think we all know that rank doesn't mean squat. However in games like Battlefield Bad Company it shows how much you contribute to a team. I beat the crap out of rank 50 guys all of the time. A level just gives you more to work for and keeps the game more fun.
i have no interest in stats or rank period, it doesnt make me want to play more. see games now are stupid showing u how many times u died lol when u could of killed urself and got more death's than someone and still get more kills. people actually just try to find ways to level up without getting legitly doing it, people rank cheat all the time in just about every game. it's pointless to even have it, the people dont even play they just join a game and rank cheat lol.
I've been playing it today on the PC and it is fantastic. Well worth the 15 bucks. The fact that you also level up your main BC2 guy is awesome.
