[QUOTE="Soulreavercross"]Nintendo usually releases one set of RPG pokemon games per handheld generation. The DS already saw Diamond/Pearl and Platinum will be out soon. Unless Nintendo decides to stick the DSi for another 5 years, you wouldn't see another RPG pokemon game until a new handheld is launchedNarroo

Not true. The gameboy has RBY and GSC, unless you count the gameboy color as a new system.

If you count the colour as just an upgraded version, and the SP as an upgraded version, then its all just a pattern.

Gameboy : red, blue, --> Yellow (mix of both)

----> gameboy colour: Gold, Silver, --> Crystal (mix of both)

Gameboy advance: Ruby, Sapphire --> Emerald (mix of both)

----> Gameboy SP: FireRed, LeafGreen (no mix of both as far as i know..)

Nintendo DS : Diamond, Pearl --> Platinum (mix of both)

---->Nintendo DSi: Another generation (quite possible FireRed etc versions of Gold, Silver and Crystal)

I'd expect then next one to come out in the next 2 years or so, they always seem to be 2 years apart. I think the hardest thing will be naming it, Nintendo are kinda running out of Semi-Precious stones and metals here...

So, pokemon platimun in finally getting released in just under a week in the US. Great news for people you live over at the states, but us here in the uk need to wait another good 2 months!

So i was wondering, what are the actual differences between the two versions? If anyone knew the differences for Diamond/Pearl, they would probably apply here. Does it screw around things if you want to trade bewtween UK and US versions? If there aren't any, then its straight to the import for me!

cheers
