Part I: A New Review

So, the day before last Friday was the day of preparation. Mostly packing and going to bed super early, because my dad wanted to leave at around 5:00 in the morning. He's the kind of man that likes to leave for a trip very early. But besides packing, it was just a normal day. I beat the main storyline on Super Paper Mario at last, which wasn't as hard as Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door's ending. But still, it looks like there's a few more things to accomplish even after beating the main story. And other than Super Paper Mario, I continued leveling up my Pokemon and discovering new places and Pokemon on Pokemon Diamond. Since it was such a great game, I even decided it should get a review. So, for the first time since my Maple Story review, I wrote another, so check it out if you haven't already.

Part II: Early Rise, The Mackinaw Bridge, and Ridiculous Populations

That night, I went to bed at 8:00 PM so I could get a good night's rest. I woke up at 1:30 AM :|. You could say I was too concerned about the trip to sleep, so I quietly got ready without waking my mom up, and watched the infamous "Chinpokomon" episode of South Park on some local channel. Then it was destination time at 4:00 instead of 5, because I thought it would be wiser to leave that time. Traveling up I-75 wasn't too bad, and we finally reached the Mackinaw Bridge, which is a sight to see. If I'm not mistaken, it's the biggest bridge in the U.S.? No? Yes? I have no clue. Anyways, it's big. But coming into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I decided to sleep since it is boring as hell to travel through. Heh, it became even more boring by the time we reached Wisconsin. On the road we were traveling down, the towns were so ridiculously small it was unbelievable. What was funny, though, is that there was a sign for each town that said the name of the town and the population underneath. Some of the towns had populations under 100:lol:. Even though it was boring to travel through (didn't see a McDonald's until about 80 miles into Wisconsin  ), those signs WERE entertaining.

Part III: Arrival

After stopping at some cafe in a town in Wisconsin just minutes away from Minnesota to eat some delicious roast beef, we finally arrived in the state, and minutes later my dad and I finally arrived to my half-brother's house at around 6:00 PM their time. What a house and neighborhood he lives in! When I entered his house, I felt so uncomfortable because it looked so elegant, and I live in a trailer:cry:. Pity party aside, his new wife was nice, and my first impression of my new neices and nephew was "Meh." The youngest girl, who was about 11, hardly stuck around the house the entire time, and didn't speak a single word to me the entire time, but I wasn't expecting much. I mean, she was an obnoxious pre-teen:|. What's there to expect? My new nephew, who is about 13, was so unsociable and quiet that I felt like friggin Chris Tucker compared to this kid! I took him to a gas station to get air in his bicycle tire, and I tried to make conversation, but this was the sequence of events: I ask question, he answers with brief response, awkward silence that was mentioned in Pulp Fiction, rinse and repeat. Finally, my other neice, who was about 15, seemed alright, but we barely spoke that night. So, settling in, there was a bonfire at a neighbor's house that everyone that lived around my bro went to, and we were also invited, so we went to it as well. Heh, that was the most miserable bonfire EVER. Since there was a body of water near the neighborhood, mosquitoes swarmed around us in what seemed like THOUSANDS, and I practically burnt myself to a crisp staying near the fire to get the mosquitoes away from me because I could've either gotten West Nile Virus or just become really hot, and I chose the latter. Also, me and my dad barely spoke because everyone around us was complete strangers, so the social factor there was burnt to a crisp in that fire. But eventually we went back to my bro's house and slept on our day, snoozing in the girls' beds that they generously offered to us, which was awkward because frizzy pillows and Johnny Depp posters are not my thang:?.

Part IV: A Trip To The Mall

A new day had dawned, and so did my dignity, as I rushed out of that bed when my dad woke up. We basically sat around outside until my bro woke up, and we all conversed a little bit. And just when the mosquito problem was gone from the daytime, along came a swarm of beetles:(. How annoying does their bug problem sound? Well, anyways, my bro was going to take the oldest girl to get a train ticket for a future visit to her older sister's house to some wedding, so that left my dad and I to fend for ourselves that day. So what did we do? Why, we visited the great Mall of America in Minneapolis, of course:D! I mean, it was only about an hour away. Of course, it was packed like my duffel bag was (nice simile, eh? ). But we still found a spot and found our way into that grand mall. This was the second time I had been there, since we came to Minnesota before (a year before I started blogs that is;) ). It was still impressive, though. I mean, there's a friggin amusement park inside it, about 4 food courts, full-fledged restaurants, a movie theater, and 3 stories of shops:shock:. Not to mention a smorgusboard of hot chicks that made me drool the entire time, but I'm not going there:P. My dad and I walked around quite a bit, ate a Philly cheesesteak, and then found a Gamestop. Of course, I had to investigate:D. Well, I walked out of there with two used games: X-Men Legends for only $4.99, and Mark Echo's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure for only $8.99. *sigh* Two more games added to my list of games that I need to start playing. God I have too much to get started on:?. At around 3:00 PM, it was about time to head back, so I slept a little bit, until we finally arrived.....again.

Part V: I Even View Movies Out of State

It was about suppertime when we got back. I barely ate much surprisingly, but sitting at the dinner table means discussion, so it was time to converse. The older neice of mine was curious about our trip to the mall, asking if I bought anything. That's when I mentioned Gamestop, hoping my bringing up of games would spark an interest in Mr. Shy Guy, who I heard was a gamer. I got a few words out of him, and I asked him more questions about what he was interested in and stuff like that. He seemed more talkative than before, because if you're a gamer, how can you resist a discussion about games:P ? He was still quiet, though. Then, when I went outside to hang out with my dad and bro while they were smoking a cigarette, the 15 year old girl wanted me to go see a movie with her and her brother:shock: FINALLY, I FEEL WELCOME!!!!!!!! Of course I wasn't going to pass that opportunity, so I accepted the invitation, and I drove them there. She even refered to me as her "uncle" when she was talking to her friend on a cell phone! SCORE! I FINALLY got through to one of the kids! Shibby:D! Well, anyways, we get to the movie theater, I find out she smokes because we go around to this alleyway to let her smoke, and then we go into the movie theater. Now, you may be wondering, "What the hell is playing right now that this movie critic would be willing to go see?" Well, first of all, I'm not a movie critic, thank you very much:P. Second, there are two movies I want to see right now, and they are Live Free Or Die Hard and Ratatouille. Now, I was planning on seeing the first movie with my dad sometime this week, so the movie we went and seen was:

Ratatouille

This is the first Disney/Pixar film I have seen in theaters since Monsters Inc. Yeah, a long time. But after watching Cars last year on DVD, and hearing superb reviews, I decided to give Ratatouille a chance in theaters. I'm pretty much glad I did, although I expected a LOT more. The story goes like this: A rat that has a significant knowledge of good food and cooking discovers an amateur chef working as a cleaning boy at a restaurant, and when the boy finds out about what the rat can do, they quickly become a team. It's a pretty original plot I guess. The animation was awesome, but not as impressive as the Shrek movies IMO. There was quite a bit of humor, but a few of the laughs were forced from myself, and I didn't quite find it as funny as Shrek the Third was in the humor department. What this movie HAD that Shrek the Third didn't, though, was heart. All of the characters were interesting enough, and you liked or disliked (or just laughed at) pretty much every character in the movie. It made you care for them. And the setting combined with the great animation made you feel like you were there with them as well. But I have to give props to the animated short that came before the actual movie, though. That was the highlight, and it was brilliant and hilarious. You'd have to see it to believe it. By the time the movie ended, for the first time in a theater, I heard a few people actually applauding the movie. It wasn't THAT good, but it was definately far from bad. Not as great as Cars, but slightly almost on the same level. A 9/10.

Returning back to the house, I expressed my appriciation to my two companions that I accompanied with, and the girl was glad I came. In fact, hearing that my dad and I were leaving the next morning, she actually wanted us to stay longer. But, my dad is just like that for some reason, always rushing to get back home:|.

Part VI: The Trip Home

It was about 4:00 AM before my dad woke me up, saying we had to leave immediately. Without waking anyone up, taking a shower, or even going to the bathroom, we were out of that house in probably 5 minutes:|. Well, since there was one of those Denny's diners in a nearby town, we stopped there and I had an omelette, since I LOVE those Denny's diners. But then I had a bad stomachache after eating there, and I was forced to, uh, resort to #2 at a gas station:x . I can't STAND using a public restroom in those kinds of situations. But it wasn't so bad, and I left a stinky odor to some people waiting outside the bathroom door (PWNED  ), but feeling better, we took off on the open road once again. I played Pokemon: Diamond quite a bit, catching MORE legendary Pokemon (I swear, there's like 10 legendary Pokemon on this game:shock: ). Heh, and then I nearly lost my glasses. You see, I had to, uh, hang my head out the window to "spit," and since I was SO smart, I had my glasses on and they flew off my face. Well, we went back to retrieve them, and I got lucky. They were still intact with only minor scratches that were hardly noticeable. They could've been crushed by traffic, or they could've broke in an instant, but it didn't happen. A VERY lucky situation:D. So, we traveled some more in the U.P. and ate at another smalltime cafe in the middle of wilderness, until we finally made it to the lower peninsula. That's when I came up with an idea;).

Part VII: An Unexpected Visit

I asked my dad while we were traveling to Minnesota if we could visit my grandma and grandpa on the way back if we had time, and he said sure. Well, when we got to the lower peninsula, he suggested that we surprise them and spend the night that night, since it was getting late. So that's what we did. Only, we didn't really suprise them because I talked to my mom about the plan and she told them about it to be sure if they would be there or not. It was a nice end to a tiring day, as we told my grandparents about our adventures in Minnesota. It wasn't long before we went to bed, though, as my grandpa was watching this one program on The History Channel about truckers in the Arctic and my grandma was doing her usual sudoku puzzles. I also started to miss being in Minnesota even:(.

Part VIII: Some Unexpected News

After my dad mentioned that I could sleep in whenever I wanted the night before, I took that offer. He woke me up at 7:00 AM anyways:|. WTF? So, struggling to get up, the phone rang, and I heard my grandpa pick it up. I listened as I was trying to wake up, and it sounded like it was someone he didn't know that he was talking to, since he wasn't talking in his "obnoxious" voice while talking but in his "serious" voice. Who could it have been? I continued to listen, and all of a sudden I heard the word "negative." Heh, I woke my ass up then, rushing out to the dining room faster than McDonald's makes hamburgers. MY GRANDPA DIDN'T HAVE PROSTATE CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY:D:D:D !!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so great to hear, and I was so happy for him. I wanted to dance, but I had just woken up, so it was kinda hard:P. But now I have no more trips to Ann Arbor to make, and I don't have to worry now:D. YES! It was such an exciting thing to hear, especially when my dad and I randomly stopped by my grandparents' house. Guess we provided my grandpa with luck:D. Ok, I'm overusing the ":D" smiley, aren't I? Sorry.......

Final Part: An End To A Memorable, Yet Brief, Vacation

After getting ready, it was time to leave and complete our trip home. Bidding farewell, we pulled out of that driveway with happy feelings after what had happened. It wasn't long before my dad and I arrived back home, back to our normal lives. Yippie:roll:. And what did we do when we got back? Rented movies:|. Oh JOY! But a movie review will appear sometime this week, so stay tuned. And then he left to go to his camper and get some rest, as I immediately got on the computer. And here I've been, for the past 2-3 hours typing this long blog post. So you people BETTER APPRICIATE IT:evil:. Or else.......

I guess this makes this vacation A LOT better than my Georgia vacation last year, which was a disaster. Sure this one had its awkward moments, and its ups and downs, but it was still memorable and exciting. I've already been begging my dad if we could go back some time this summer:lol:. So, with games to beat, and Hell's Kitchen coming on tonight, looks like I have quite a night to look forward to back in my normal life. We'll see what Independence Day has in store for me as well. Until Next Time, LATA!

*Jeff Goldblum suddenly appears*

"So, is there a REASON you used my picture in that last part of your so-called "epic" tale?"

What the HELL!!!!???? Blog post is over, and my 200th blog isn't until about 2 blogs away, so until then, I don't WANT to see any pictures of celebrities or their witty dialogue. You hear, Goldblum?

"Ok, I take the hint. You hate me. Well, then I'll leave you alone for GOOD you pathetic son of a b*tch." *runs away crying, but then stops and looks back* "And the dialogue you write for us sucks major ass!" *continues running until he disappears on the horizon*

But......Oh forget it:|. He'll probably be back;)......
