Well, my 4-day weekend ended yesturday, and just like any day after a long weekend/break, it sucked ballzorz. *sigh* Only about 8 more weeks of school. Yippie. Then I have to go out and get a job. Double yippie. Oh well, that's the way life is, no matter who you are, I guess. I barely did anything on Monday but play the most I could out of KH2, and a little bit of Maple Story as well. I DID rent two more movies on Easter, though. And let me tell you, one of them must've been the most violent, most brutal movie I have ever layed eyes on, while the other was just an overated mystery movie that I thought was boring. Here they are:
City of God--I despise foreign films. I really do. The subtitles are a pain in the ass to read, the different language starts getting annoying, and other crap like that. The only exception I ever thought was Passion of the Christ, which did the whole Latin thing really well. Then along comes City of God. At first, when I saw the subtitles, I thought "Oh god, please don't torture me like this." But as soon as I saw the first wave of violence, which was about 2 minutes into the film, I was hooked. And I gotta tell ya, this was one, BRUTAL, movie. Young people, even little kids about the age of 10, doing drugs and using guns, and even getting shot at, along with brutal gang activity, made my jaw drop. And knowing my mom and dad, they hated it because it was just violence and they assumed it sucked just because it was foreign, so I mainly watched it by myself. And I'm glad I did. 9.5/10.
The Usual Suspects--Please don't flame me like when I said I hated Office Space, but I thought this one sucked as well. I thought it was boring, and I felt as if I've seen something like this many times before, so that didn't help, either. Yep, beaten by a foreign film this time. 4.5/10.
