*sigh* Geeze this is getting old. Same ol' crappy Mondays never change. It's so friggin boring. *gasp* BUT WAIT! Guess what tomorrow is??!!! VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! YIPPIE DO DAH!!!! LET'S PARTY AND HAVE BUTTSE..........ok, enough of the sarcasm. Man I really dread tomorrow. I'm going to feel like a huge loser. Last year was nice because it was actually a snow day, but this year, I'm afraid I won't be as lucky. I was looking through the school newspaper today, and all throughout the paper were Valentine shout-outs from one student to another, mostly bfs and gfs. It depressed me. I WANT A ****IN GF!!!! It just isn't fair. I get all A's, have a polite and nice attitude, and yet, my shyness and nerdy ways just TAKE over and cause me drop deeper in the "Single" meter. Well, enough of my usual, pathetic whining. Let me tell you about my weekend.
It was pretty much the usual: play video games, chatting, movies, trying to get into underground rap, etc. A couple of distinct things DID happen, though. Like on Friday night, which was definately a night full of pwnage. I was chatting with my friends, who are my age and as old as me, when and one of my other friend's stepbrother was online. And let me tell you, this kid is an annoying 8th grader who thinks he is the most ghetto hoodrat ever, plus he cusses in every sentence, but he's just this skinny dorky looking kid. So, he asks me what I'm doing and I tell him "I am chatting with my friends." Then he proceeds to tell me that I have no friends, so thats when the pwnage began. I told him to log onto Yahoo (which I was talking to my friends on), and come to a conference with us, so he did. Then, since he started talking trash to us, we just...................basically started pwning him. It was nuts, and at the same time, really awesome. That went on for about 2-3 hours that night, until some of the people had to go to bed, including me. But man did I have quite a night.
Also this past weekend was my nephew's birthday party. Yep, I'm an uncle. But yeah, he just turned 4, so that's pretty cool. I also have a neice who is 5 and another neice who is 13 (going on 30, lol). Anyways, the party was pretty lame. I just sat there the whole time because there were only a couple people I knew. Same with my dad basically.
Oh, and I watched more movies this weekend. Unfortunately, my parents were the ones that went....again. Fortunately, though, they got a few good ones: Murderball, Lord of War, Flightplan, and The Legend of Zorro. The only one I haven't watched yet, and I really want to, is Lord of War. But here's my thoughts on the others:
Murderball--Yippie, a documentary. But this one was surprisingly well done. It really gave me the insight on what it's like to be handicapped in a wheelchair. Also, the sport they played on there was a pretty awesome concept. It was basically rugby, only in wheelchairs. IMO the second best (and second ONLY) documentary I've seen besides Supersize Me. It gets an 8/10.
Flightplan--This one I was surprised with. Before I watched it, I thought it was going to be another mediocre thriller. Boy was I wrong. It reminded me A LOT of Red Eye, which was a good thriller by the way. The beginning was boring, but once Jodie Foster's character and her daughter get on the plane, things get suspenceful. Not the best I've ever seen, but very solid. 7/10.
The Legend of Zorro--This one my mom made me watch because she wanted "family time." Now, I've never seen The Mask of Zorro, so I basically didn't care about this one. The action scenes were humorous and fun, but everything else in between was genetic filler. Not my cup of tea. A meh 5/10.
Ok I'll end this blog post so all of your eyes dont fall out of your heads. Take care now, BYE BYE then.
