Day 1 of Spring Break--Movies, Movies, and More Movies

Ah, nothing like Spring Break. A whole week off, people going on vacation to places such as Florida, California, and Hawaii. As for me, I'm just chillin here at home. And this morning it was...........snowing:? . Typical weather for spring break, eh?  .

Well, some interesting things have happened since the start of spring break for me. First of all, I finally preordered Kingdom Hearts 2 at my local game store (Mind Games is what it's called). Unfortunately, they won't be getting it in until the 31st, which is bullsh*t because I have to wait 6 more days now. Oh well, Jade Empire will keep me occupied.

A new Tourette's Guy video also has surfaced. Although this one might prove that this guy is a fake, with the way the Tourette's Guy says certain things at perfect times while Lion King is on, it is still quite hilarious. Hope to see some more real soon.

I tried Guild Wars Factions last night, meaning it was my first time ever playing Guild Wars. It works fine on my computer, but unfortunately, it ran very sluggishly, meaning I have too much crap on my computer. *sigh* Guess I blew my chance of playing THIS MMORPG..........for now.

And also, lots of movies. And since my dad has moved back to his camper because "spring" was here (he stayed with me and my mom because of the cold outside), it was one movie for my mom to pick out and one for me to pick out, since my dad has a separate Mammoth Video membership then me and my mom. Earlier, we picked out Walk the Line (finally, after 3 weeks of waiting for it) and Godfather Pt. 3. But we got done watching those and rented The Fugitive and Sixth Sense (I've seen it before, but my mom has been wanting to see it, so we rented it). Oh, and I finally watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, also. Here are the quick reviews:

Harry Potter and the GoF--This was a breath of fresh air. I remember watching Prisoner of Azkaban and thought it sucked, but with Goblet of Fire, the series has picked up again. Although not the best Harry Potter movie, it was still really good. Lots of action and adventure in this one, although I almost found myself falling asleep at certain parts (I was tired at the time, though). It gets an 8/10.

Walk the Line--Wow. Just wow. This movie amazed me. I'm not usually much for biopics, but damn, this one was like a meteoroid dropping from the sky. And the impersonations really impressed the hell out of me. This one is worth owning, plain and simple, not just renting. Can't believe I'm doing this, but this is my first 10/10 that I'm giving. This has to be one of the best movies of last year next to Crash, Sin City, and 40-Year Old Virgin. Thank god for you Johnny Cash. R.I.P.

Godfather Pt. 3--*whew* Finally done with the series. And this one is basically no different than the others. ANOTHER party at the beginning of the movie, ANOTHER meeting of some sort in the middle of the movie, ANOTHER surprising death at the end of the movie. There were just too many "anothers" in this movie. Sorry, but after seeing this, the Godfather series has not impressed me. 7/10.

The Sixth Sense--"I see dead people" Ahhh, one of the great catch phrases of the 90s. I gotta tell ya, though, this movie still has its kick. One of the best psychological thrillers IMO, with a very emotional ending as well. 9/10.

There you have it folks. 4 big movies that I have watched just today alone. I'll have my verdict on Fugitive later, though, since I haven't watched it yet.

Well, another long blog post done, and I probably made everybody's eyes bleed from all the reading, so I am terribly sorry if that happened. As for me, I am going back to my wonderful spring break................that is, if you can call it "spring.":P
