Wow. It's always when there's a show that I really want to watch starts that I actually miss having cable. It wouldn't be so bad if I at least had internet at my HOUSE... but what can you do. One day, the light of internet shall grace my household once more and it will be a joyous occasion.

Damn it...

Finals week has come yet again in the treacherous barbed-wire filled pit known as community college. Bad enough it's just like a step up from high school in this place but you always wind up having some teacher who gives you an assignment that would be easy if you didn't have 4 other classes, 3 of which online, and 2 part-time jobs to clutter your week. then on top of that you have to come in on finals week for like an hour to sit down to do some test that could have possibly been done the week before. Any way at some it will be accomplished and until then I shall vent to the world.
Life without a computer.

Lately life has been a little more lacking than usual without constant access to a computer. It sucks to have to go all the way out to the college labs just to check e-mail and all that good stuff. And then last week, being my normally crap-tastic luck, I lost my phone and had to go out and buy a new one. Other than that little fiasco, it's pretty much the same crap, different toilet.

Why does life have to be so boring? I could really use some excitement in my life that doesn't involve relinquishing my hard-earned money for a ridiculously overpriced good time.
I can't wait until I'm rich... *sigh*
Brand New Day, Same Old Crap
by gokusatsuken on Comments
Yeah. Well. Last friday, the 22nd, I officially turned 19-years-old and I really don't feel any different. I feel, and have felt previously, like I'm in my 40's and I'm slowly waiting for my outward appearance to catch up with the inside. Besides my age, I could barely do anything on my birthday because of the 'same old crap'.
First up, I had to work on friday (because I really need the money). Second, I had invited about 6 or 7 people (because I had a feeling no one would show up any way for many different reasons), but I actually wound up hanging out with 2 friends. Third, we went to Universal City Walk (it's in the entrance to Universal Studios) and the only thing we could do was go to the movies. Then, all we did was go to see Jumper and then we walked around for like an hour and a half. It's always fun to have a drink, but not when you have to hide it or drink illegally in a public place. I just want a little inhibriation, is that so much to ask.

Cheap yet Playable
by gokusatsuken on Comments
You just gotta love those really cheap games and DVDs that you get from Gamestop! I mean don't get me wrong obviously they have their faults, which is why they're so cheap but sometimes you just find them to be addicting. Just recently I decided to pick up Turok: Evolution for $4.99 at a Gamestop. I take it home and turn on my Cube to see just how bad it is and the first thing wrong with it is the loading time. Talk about having enough time to make a baked potato and some left over to churn the butter to go on it! On the other hand, once I actually got to start playing the game, it really isn't that bad (Although I do have a slight problem with the aiming during gameplay).
And as far as DVDs, you can't say much about a $2 movie except, "Wow, who dug this up?" But, you have to admit, sometimes it is something you may not have seen in years or even a movie you always wanted to see but never got the chance. It's a really good way to get some cheap Anime or TV series'.
Television

It seems as if there is nothing good on TV these days. All the networks seem to put all the good shows on at the same time of year, in the same time slot, on the same day of the week as every other channel. For those of us unfortunate enough to not have a Tivo or any other DVR, we are forced to either (1) make a life changing decision and sacrifice all other shows by chosing one, (2) pray that someone else recorded it at their house so that you can watch it later, (3) ask all our friends what happened in extreme detail, or (4) run to the internet in hopes that someone recorded and uploaded it onto a website.
In particular, I am absolutely furious that I missed the entirenew seasons of Heroes and Avatar this fall due to an outrageous work schedule and trying to get my Business degree as fast as possible. The reason I bring this up is because it looks like I'm going to have to seek out shows 2 or 3 months in advance in order to work around some good TV. By the time the fall semester started and I registered for my classes, I completely forgot that these show were returning to TV!
I tend to hate life already because of bad experience, but now I hate it even more without good TV
