Evolution does NOT disprove the existance of an intelligent creator and believing in an intelligent creator doesNOT mean evolution doesn't occur.

mosdef_basic

Precisely. Religious beliefs answer the "Why", while evolution is an attempt to answer the "How". They are not mutually exclusive.

And as for those saying evolution in simply a theory: you clearly don't understand the scientific vocabulary. A theory (lower case "t") refers to more of a hypothesis or speculation based on observations, which either has not been tested or hasn't been tested enough to reach a satisfactory answer. A Theory (capital "T"), such as the Theory of Evolution, is a thoroughly tested hypothesis and repeatedly verified, and is generally accepted as fact.

Depends on what kind of movie I'm in the mood for: Owen is a much better actor, but Stathem is the superior action star.

In a fight, I have no doubt Stathem would kick Owen's ass. And that's what everything really boils down to - who could kick who's ass?

I'm a scientist, a teacher and a Christian... and I teach the concepts of evolution in my classroom. There is enough scientific basis to support the Theory of Evolution as a viable means of speciation, and unless you are of the most ignorant caliber of fundamenatlists, you will realize that the Theory does not necessarily conflict with the belief in Jesus Christ.

Sadly, such debates are usually the results of minsunderstandings of both religion and science. Some are ignorant to the facts that support Natural Selection and Evolution; some are ignorant to the original contexts and intentions of the Bible; and unfortunately, most are ignorant of both.

I have to echo what every else is saying: Yes, it is worth buying. It's pretty much exactly like the original, but with much better graphics.

For me, it's proably Shinobi for PS2. I bought the game thinking it would be a cool ninja sim like Tenchu, and realized that it sucked. I think I hung on to it for about a week before selling it.

Depends how far into the future we're talking. I'm pretty sure DD is going to take over in the coming 5-10 years; then eventually, as net line speeds increase, we'll end up streaming games without the need for any substantial download. That's my prediction anyway. jimmyjammer69

Quake Live is already heading in that direction, which I think is pretty cool. Just a short 10-minute set-up, and you're playing Quake III from your web browser.

I'm hoping Street Fighter IV will be good on the PC - so many "consoles ports" are absolute crap...

I'm sure some already know, but I figured I'd post just in case: The Half-Life 2 Hardware Performance Guide under the Tech section seems to be missing... when you click on it, it just takes you back the the Tech homepage, and for the life of me I can't seem to find it anywhere on the site. I'd like to read through this guide, as I'm purchasing a new computer - anyone know where I can find it, or has it slipped through the cracks?
