@rotchild: Nowhere is it set in stone that all games have to be unrealistic and/or fast paced. It's supposed to be slow. It's a deliberate, melancholic representation of the old west.
The realism grounds the characters in the world, and therefore makes the scenario more believable - ultimately, yes, making it more fun, due to the impact of the unified narrative and game mechanics.
@chubby170: Hmm... I hated San Andreas because it wasn't real enough. Jetpacks, area 51, stealing fighter jets from the army (with no consequences at all). I just wanted the grove street and las venturas stuff the gangster stuff.
@jjenslyn: Huh? No, it's my honest to god opinion. I doubt they're interested in multiplayer themselves, but they're certainly interested in the money it generates. Whereas the whole narrative, and simulated, believable worlds with obsessive attention to detail - they seem to get a genuine kick out of that stuff. That's the point I'm making.
This is the most generic looking game I've seen in a long while, it actually borders on parody how ultra-generic it is. "Righteous Slaughter 7" indeed.
