Critic scores aren't that high actually. For a hyped AAA game Fallout 4 scores below what was expected by the gross. People even question the ratings of the critics when the negative points are numerous.

I can tell you that this is Fallout 3.5 with a few additions and tweaks. The world is wonderous and full of surprises filled with garbage you can salvage to make this or that. Gameplaywise it shifted more towards a FPS rather than RPG and some people like it, others hate it. The start of the game feels rushed and strange. I was a bit surprised the protagonist didn't show a bit more emotion. The first few hours will introduce you to the world at a relatively slow pace without holding your hand. Save often. I've set autosave to 5 minutes, it really helps. I can't give a review because the ending is still unknown to me. The people who give low scores do have a point though, I wouldn't dismiss them easily since there is a lot to complain about.

Im not getting the Fallout hype. It looks so mediocre compared to the other games. I'd rate Horizon over Fallout if it were to come out this year. Now that's a game with a genuine wow-factor.

Oh and Witcher 3 > Bloodborne.

Neither!! Both are overrated garbage. The only people who can play games like these are uber nerds or people without other commitments in their lives. Bloodborne lacks a logical save system that artificially makes the game seem harder than it is and The Witcher is simply far too time consuming for anyone that has a full time 40-50 hour a week job, family commitments and other time grabbing things.

To each their own, but my life doesn't allow for these types of games as my game time is limited at best throughout any given week. I'll stick to short attention span games like racers, sports and FPS that I can get in and get out at my leisure!!

im sorry, but this reads as I-don't-like-games-where-I-have-to-invest-time-in-so-by-default-they-are-garbage. And such a stance is not a fair one to appraise games.

@kinectthedots Just ignore user extrodinare101. He's an obvious troll. Al least I hope so because if he takes himself serious then he has brain-issues to work on.

Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain says hello.

if you look at controls alone then MGSV beats Bloodborne and Witcher 3. (D-Horse controls vs Roach for example). Not to mention the freedom of infiltration.

Fallout 4 is not in the same league as a Witcher 3, Bloodborne or MGSV because it's simply more of the same with a few additions and those additions are done better by the other games. Having said that, I will still buy Fallout 4 because I like the setting.

It's clear as day now: Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain for all the right reasons. I'm actually surprised how MGSV makes Fallout 4 look so ordinary. Witcher 3 is MGSV's biggest competition but at the end the story, gameplay and innovation propels MGSV head first over the finishline.
