I've tried every resolution, 2 seperate hdmi cables, returned the xbox and tried a new one, and both hdmi ports on the dell 3201c. Nothing works.

The console works with the a/v xbox cable and all resolutions work as well. Is there that much difference between the hdmi cable picture and the a/v hd pictiure?

I have the exact same tv, xbox 360, and problem. Did you find out how to solve it?
