I've been visiting GS for over a decade and this is a fair whack of staff. Ryan MacDonald and Justin Calvert are some of the last remnants from GS's glory days; I wish them all the best.

Is this clearing the way for new blood? I'm all for fresh faces.

There's been a few topics on having zero game updates on this over the last couple months...and yep, still no fix.

As much as I want to give the guys some slack, I honestly didn't think it would take this long.

I've been looking to get a mod which slows down the pace of combat when units are battling it out in melee - mainly just so I can actually have some time to watch the fights like in the old RTW, rather than frantically flying about the map the entire time, as I find myself doing these days. Anyone got any good recommendations from the steam community workshop/modding space for this?

Haven't tried it yet but it's kinda annoying - stuff like this should have shipped with the game.

I would also REALLY like to know what is going on with game updates...getting updates on games is the biggest reason why I come to GS for nearly 10 years, and currently it is monumentally broken/non-existent.

Are they supposed to appear in our feed? I have seen news stories on games I follow but haven't shown up there (eg. Battlefield 4, Titanfall). In fact, nothing is showing up on my feed except forum posts.

Also having a drop-down list of all the games you follow when you hover over your login on the top right of any page was the most useful feature on this site. I could jump to any game I was following instantly, from anywhere. What could possibly be the reason for taking out this excellent feature???

Workaround as in just disabling Adblock? Or as in getting rid of the ads before videos and still getting the videos to play? If the latter, please elaborate on this 'workaround' you speak of...haven't quite been able to dig one up yet myself.

Also I'll be eagerly awaiting the au gamespot page to get back up and running and hopefully things will be a bit zippier.

Most game boards on this site died when GS split from GameFAQs. Only active boards are the general ones, and much discussion has been funnelled into the comments section of articles, video, content, etc.

The official total war forums are way more active anyway. But the old RTW GS board 10 years ago was crazy active from memory.
