I actually hope that Adrian Shephard plays a role in the next episode or at least in HL3. I mean the guy kicked all amounts of ass in Opposing Forces plus we never found out anything else about the second alien race. Well that is unless Valve is going to pretend it never happened.THGarrett
Thats possible because the letters on keyboards in portal spell out "adrian shephard". I forgot about him, he will probably have a role in ep3.

Yeah that makes sense, but i think the mysterious thing boardging the borealis is actually just one big portal device, more like what black mesa had in the first game which caused the resonance cascade and the series of events following. Combine with portal guns just wouldnt work. What the borealis hides is something to eradicate the combine on earth, or send them back. Maybe something that could teleport anything no matter where it is on earth based on their genetic code (ie: anything extraterrestrial).

The game "Portal" was derived from a game that some college kids made for their senior project. It was called Necabelar drop or something. I can't remeber the first name. Anyway, Valve hired them to make Portal.cd_rom
Narbacular Drop. And yes youre right.

All valve games since half life 2. The witcher was great too because not only did it have ALOT of dialogue, it also had good voice acting. But i would say glados from portal takes the cake.

I have to say system shock 2. Its the only game that me jump. Everytime i would get hit iwould shudder a little bit, especially by the spiders. The atmosphere is great and the story of the Many is very coherent and well thought.

Download the kolya tool. Reinstall SS2. Run the tool and check the following boxes : Patching up, video resolution (select which one you want) and bug fixes. After that launch the game WITHOUT any compatibility modes. If it still doesnt work, try every older driver you canf ind (if you have nvidia, 163.44 worked for me). Good luck, i know how much of a PIA it can be, but once youll get it working, you will really enjoy the game.

half life 2, deus ex, system shock 2 are all musts. You could also check out the No One Lives Forever series. If youre into RPGs you can check out the fallout series, baldur's gate series...

I dont think its that big of a problem though... You get better games on pc but they sometimes dont work properly. Thats just pc gaming. I think fixing and tweaking the game is actually a good thing. I spent 7 hours trying to get system shock 2 working, it wasnt THAT bad because i was expecting it not to work. I got it working flawlessly and when it ran for the first time, it was just a great feeling lol. If you expect everything to work perfectly everytime, thats where you get bad surprises.
