shaders, post processing and shadows are the most demanding settings. Set these to medium or low and the rest to high and youre guaranted good performance.
I played the mp beta, the demo and now the full game, and in all the versions that sound has always been extremely quiet. Does anyone else have that? i tried to set s_SpeakerConfig 5 (which sets the speaker configuration to 5.1) and the sound is still really quiet. I would like to know if its a common problem and if there is a fix. (yeah my volume sliders are maxed)

I hear people wining about how they get 40fps in games and how they want more fps. Some people say that 40 fps is "bad performance".I think 30 fps is excellent performance. I also hear people saying that they "only" get 40-60 fps in games like COD 4, Test-drive inlimited, World in Conflict. What the hell, thats VERY good fps. I'm satisfied ifeven get 30 FPS min games.

Thats good for you. Some people want more fps though. The only game i can tolerate with low fps is crysis. The motion blur gets partially rid of the choppiness. Oh and the human eye can see up to 72.3 frames or something like that.
Oh yeah thats true! Sorry. I'm still "the kid" (yes like Billy thank you), still learning the ropes. I sometimes do that because I can't wait too long to get a reply. Its the impatience of youth my friend...SS2 is going okay. I stopped playing it. After beating all 3 thief games and Deus Ex 1 + lousy "sequel" it feels a pretty familiar towards them...biggest_loser
yeah, after playing too many old games you kind of need to come back to the present. Thats how i feel. I completed SS2 yesterday and was planning on doing a second run immediately after, but i think i need a break. I need to play something recent. Im about to buy crysis. Did you play it? yeah thats ok. Its not the humour part i dont like, its the fact you post slightly useless threads quite often. Example: when you got system shock 2, you made about 7 topics with various questions about the game; some where the same. You could just ask something it the thread you already made.

I disagree. I actually like the Uwe Boll jokes. The reason why i chose the last option too is that he posts waaaaay too much random or useless stuff. I think you think a little bit more, or research more before posting a new thread. And yeah max payne is great.
