forgot to mention its part of the fallout collection pack. Perhaps the 3 games (fallout 1,2 and tactics) were revised and now work perfectly on xp, because int he system requirements it mentions it should work on windows 98, me, 2000 and xp. By the way, if the original fallout somehow doesnt work, will fallout 2 still be enjoyable, even if i didnt play the first one? Thanks.

Im wondering if the fallout series will work on windows xp. If it doesnt work, will it work in compatibility mode? Also, i have a dual core cpu, maybe it will cause problems... Thanks in advance.

Oh c'mon. someone must have a clue about this! i just want to play this damn game since everyone here has been talking it up so much. Lets get it on and fix this damn thing once and for all!!biggest_loser
thats what you get for downloading it instead of buying it. Check wikipedia and then go on the www.ttlg.com, there is a thread there explaining every problem you can encounter and a fix.

try it and we will see after, i just know that alot of people have had the blizzard effect (motion blur basically) last longer than usual, and it was fixed by drinking another blizzard potion.

[QUOTE="IZoMBiEI"]You wont be able to buy system shock 2 anymore as its now abandonware. The good news is its a free download now, just google it.biggest_loser

Is that legitimate? Would you be able to find a good link for me? Please? Would be much appreciated!

google it, because its against the GS TOS to post links of torrents or illegal downloads. And system shock 2 isnt abandonware, as stated by foxhound_fox.

[QUOTE="alexmatusiak"]

The Witcher is probably the best RPG to come out this year, so long as you dig the combat. Some people flat out hate it so you might see a few user downvotes because of it. The only complaint I would have is that you basically have one character choice.

If you're in North America, download it from the UK site if you can ... content was cut to fit M rating in North America. There isn't much in the box anyway.

Other good choices would be Guild Wars (free online play means its easy to go multiplayer pvp/pve if you want, or just use mercs and heroes you unlock to solo) or, if you're looking to step outside the traditional European-esque fantasy world, you could give Jade Empire or Titan Quest a go.

I can't recommend Two Worlds ... but I won't get in to why because it seems whenever you comment on Two Worlds the torches come out.

I'll check out the Witcher, too bad there isn't a demo. From what I've seen I likey!

I do have Guild Wars: Nightfall; for some reason I never stuck with the game past lvl 10, or once my friend quit playing it. I may just launch it up and try it again. I've run throught Jade Empire a bit, as well as Titan Quest...okay games, but again they didn't hold my attention. What about Loki? I've seen this game advertised on STEAM, but not else where.

thanks

december 13th= witcher demo, if you can wait that long. Before buying the witcher though, make sure you have at least 2 gigs of ram, you will need it, anyways, 2 gig nowadays costs like 30$.

I've owned 2 different copies of SS2, neither of which have CD keys. But even if it did have a key, it's not like you'd be playing it online anyway. SS2 is a single player game. There would be no need for the previous owner to remove it from their system for it to work on yours. Pre-2007, that kind of copy protection didn't really even exist - and pre-2004, the only real copy protection was CD keys, which can be shared as far as offline games go. But the game has no key anyway.

I hope you buy it, it really is a masterpiece.

Thank you, exactly the answer i was looking for. Did you have any trouble running it on xp?
