Well, it's not an insane premise. The idea was that the Empire was evil because it had a corrupt Emperor. With the Sith Emperor gone, perhaps more decent people ended up in charge of the government...not enough to make it pure good, but enough to give us a -gasp- New Hope? And the rebellion, who's insistent on reforming the democracy, could end up not seeing the good that remains in the Empire now that the Emperor is dead, so in their desperation to wipe out the (not as bad as they seem) reformed Empire, they turn to a talented new leader or leaders...like say, someone who was secretly a Sith Lord. And thus, I could see that idea of a shift in good vs evil being plausible. The Resistance doesn't realize it's gone too far (as they are often wont to do), and the Empire is like "We're the last bit of structure in the galaxy; we need help SAVING the government, not destroying it."
That also puts the speculation about the main character being a Stormtrooper into new light. Perhaps he WAS a Stormtrooper because...they're actually like decent galactic police now, like they were suppose to be before the Emperor misused them?
@EmericaCky2K: Or he sounds like he's trolling you. You guys noticed his very purposeful use of bad grammar, right? You've just been baited into giving his comment a lot of attention.
Although, at least he's not saying anything too complex. He's right that you can't base your whole decision on reviews, and yeah, you guys are right that reviews give you a general idea of how others see the game, and shape it's worth. But congrats, you already knew that, and he made you argue about it anyways because he wanted attention. You can now scratch your head, sigh in relief that you've realized he's not dumb, just bored, and feel the tiniest iota of shame that you got baited, before shrugging it off because dealing with people like him on the internet is the smallest, least important thing you'll do all day.
...ooor shake a fist at me, for being philosophical on the internet. xD
@mpl911: Ever heard of a visual novel? Because it's basically a visual novel. (That's a whole genre, btw).
They're basically writing a book about ____ the series is based on, I.E. The Walking Dead or Borderlands, but with visual and light gameplay elements.
It's a pretty big genre, and becoming much more mainstream. But yeah, it is light in hands-on gameplay, though by design; Telltale games are playable even by people who are bad at video games, and so are open to a wider market than many, bringing the world of the game (Again, say Borderlands) to new players who aren't necessarily as good at video games.
@fallenstaph: Statistics show that Ratings actually do effect who purchases the game. While the rating system is largely common knowledge today, it wasn't during your childhood or mine. But nowadays, simply having a T on a box instead of an M could mean significantly more sales, especially because people just getting into games won't know much about their content going in to the store, but will lend some credence to the label.
@Reagan2791: Dude, Obi-Wan got VAPORIZED for your sins! Darth Vader choked to death on his own burnt lungs. There were incestuous undertones! Don't act like Star Wars isn't hardcore, bro.
