Computer Animation-The start to 3D video gaming success.

Alright, I know that many people who play video games want to be a video game artist or have thoughts about making them.  The games you play, could be done by you, but even better. Think of the possibilities to success in the video game world. You have to be mentally prepared to face the video game universe and not only play video games, but to make them.

At my school (Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School) in Toronto Ontario Canada, there is a course called Computer Animation. Since our school is 5 years old, which is quite new compared to other schools, it is more advanced in technology. They have Mac and Windows XP computers (approx-50 computers in the school). With this said, I have more freedom with accessing and working on the computers.

Unfortunately, there are about 1000 students. So you can imagine the chaos within the 4 story school, and patience that you must encounter. Why am I talking about the school? You might ask. Well, I want to give people who read this a generalization to what I cope with and how I could be successful at what I love most at this great school.

I'm done promoting and talking about my school. The course is called Computer Animation. I have always loved playing video games ever since I was young and I have a very shy yet creative personality. I know I can't draw well, yet in this course it's the creativity that counts, that is why I love it so much. I am starting grade 10 now, and I have to be honest, I haven't really started the course. My teacher just told me that this is what we are doing. The point of animation is that it works by frames. We go from flip books to video cameras in this course.

I am telling you about my school, so that people would hear a little about myself. I believe that this course would help me in the 3D animation and video game universe (it's a start). For some people who live in Toronto would hopefully know the CBC building that is located a long John Street. In there, is a huge cooperation that goes from radio broadcasting to video game production to Yoga. This is where I hopefully go when I graduate from colledge  and univerisity.

Computer Animation is about learning to use the computer and its technology and corespond it with your intelect and creative state of mind. Possible ideas that the classmates and I are doing in this course are- plastisine, sand, programs like 3D Studio Max and puppetry. I do and hopefully have great success because this course helps me see what video games and computer animation have in common.

This is my first blog and I am a little nervous yet eager to hear what you have to say. Finally, I pray that I will graduate, work with CBC and possibly, just possibly, make it into the big leagues with Nintendo (I am a fan boy), Microsoft or Sony. This is the start to where I will be heading. Why go somewhere that you hate to do? My question to you. If you love something and you are interested in it, persue it! That's what I'm doing. Good luck everyone and thanks for reading.
