Good post, I think you laid it out very well. Thank you for taking the time to write it up. However I don't think you should claim the PS3 is dead; I mean you are entitled to your prediction but like you said 2008 *could* be better for Sony, potentially and beyond that.

However this console has been out for nearly a year and it's still rather lackluster in terms of any game line-up *that is on the shelves*. The dev kits for the PS3 have been in developer's hands long before the console was released so that is another point to add to the lack of games dilema.

I think when it boils down to it it's going to be human nature for someone to not really defend the PS3, but rather to defend their $600 investment and loyalty to a company in order to make themselves feel better about not blowing cash. This could easily change, mind you, in the future when the PS3 has games but people should stop claiming fame for this console until games are actually out and reviewed.

Wow, my 360 is ticking solid for over a year now. I know folks who still have a launch 360 and it works great.

Like others have stated, Sony had a more severe issue with the PS2 and it turned out to be the #1 selling console in history.

All consoles are going to have issues, just like computers do.

The fact that Microsoft is backing their system up with a 3-warranty I'd say is pretty nice; I didn't see Sony do that with their PS2.

Theres no point in trying to start up a witch hunt when your just going to end up at a dead end. Thanks.
