What exactly would happen if the PSU wasn't good enough for the card? Would it just not turn on, or could there be damage/something similar?

Thanks for the replies. I took a look inside of my case and found this:The DC Output is 300W, and the 12V1 is 8.0A, the 12V2 is14.0A, and the -12V is 0.8A. Not really sure what any of that means..I'm guessing that the PSU is quite low though?

Thanks for the reply. I'll find out my PSU and post that. Maybe I'll even be able to find a deal on this stuff during a holiday sale..

Hey, here are my current specs:

Processor: AMD Phenom™ 9500 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz Memory: 3070MB RAM
Hard Drive: 500 GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000)

I really only play PC games casually right now; do you think only updating my video card would make a big difference in performance? Would I be able to play newer games (on medium settings)?

If it'd be a big enough difference, does anybody have any recommendations for a new card? I'd like to buy one as cheap as possible. Thanks!

Hey, I'm looking to buy a laptop and I've found a pretty cheap one for $400. I'll only be using it for school work, messenger, listening to music, stuff like. All my gaming will be done on my PC. Anyways, I was just wondering if this one seemed good, and the average battery life. Here's the specs:

Approximate Battery Life 2.4 Hours Hard Drive Speed/Capacity 120GB 5400RPM Optical Drive 8X DVD+/-RW Super-Multi Dual Layer Processor Speed 2.0GHz Processor Type Intel Celeron M550 RAM 1GB Screen Size 15.4"

The thing is...stones are just so important and don't get the credit they deserve.

No, I never do. Except their was a "girl" last night that I was in a group with, and when a guy left she was like "Cya later bro", and then started acting like a guy. It's confusing really.

Yea, bought it today, steam kinda causes you to impulse buy. Try setting the game to it's highest difficulty level this time and be evil, hopefully be more fun than the first time, which was disappointing.Kez1984

Definitely. I've bought so many games on the spur of the moment. Now I have to obtain a way to pay digitally, and debate whether I should get this for 360 or PC.
