My parents used to always buy the consoles and games for my older brother each Christmas. Apparently, I was only allowed to like Barbie dolls (okay, I loved Barbie dolls) but he'd always give in and let me share until eventually my parents accepted me as a fully-fledged video game nerd as well.
My family live in China now but thankfully got home to Ireland in time for Christmas! I hadn't seen them in 5 months so it's pretty wonderful. Sucks that you can't spend the holidays with yours, Danny, but I hope you enjoyed it all the same. :D
Pokémon is the ultimate nostalgia trigger for me. Every time a new game comes out it unleashes a fresh wave of nostalgia, even though I don't really enjoy the series as much as I did as a kid. Oh, and the first Spyro game was the first game I finished on the PS1, so I'm still very attached to it! Sometimes it's a pity when I return to old games I loved when I was younger, only to realise that they were a load of crap. Better off saving the memories instead of trying to re-create them, though Spyro is still top-notch in my opinion. Damn Gnasty Gnorc!
@dannyodwyer @player_12345 @griphinite Pretty sure all the Irish people except for maybe my Granny would laugh at this video... before spending the holidays re-watching classic Father Ted episodes!
