ok why didnt they come out with a more precise controller when they initially released the wii? i hate all these add-ons, i dont remember having to buy anything special for my ps2, gamecube, and other 'legacy' systems. but now that i have the new systems, i bought the xbox hd-dvd player (R.I.P.), a PC and HDMI connection for xbox, now i need to buy a new controller for my ps3 because i want rumble, and the nintendo wii has to take the cake for add-on costs. wiiware, downloads, extra controller, extra nunchuk, two 'classic' controllers (if theyre required for some games, why the fk are they not included in the wii box???), a component cable, BLAHHHHH!! not including stuff like the wii zapper, which i also own, a lot of this stuff (like the pay to play xbox live) is really necessary to get 100% out of your system. when the price of the system itself and games are so high to begin with all these extras that really are required need to be factored into the system cost. i dont like paying $600 to have a wii that can do 'everything' i thought a $250 wii out of the box should do
You can only call other "skype" users for FREE, and it does not work with most peoples psps because not many people bought them since last October... i bought my psp in march 05, so i guess this feature wouldnt be useful even if i knew anyone that used skype instead of a cell phone. this seems like more of a gimmick than anything helpful, unless you immigrated from russia and need to skype your uncle.
Nice article, I assumed a high end PC would of course always have better graphics, and for most games, a better control scheme. I play on an xbox 360 with a HD projector, and just using the projector with a 7.1 sound system makes for a hell of an experience. All this equipment cost under $2000, including the xbox and the game. if you are rich and wasteful, you can afford to upgrade your computer on a regular basis just to play games. its nice living in the USA.
