Spyro

What Happened? - Spyro was a great series of games on the PS1, and will always be a legendary game. However starting on the PS2, spyro went down the drain, combat became tedious, story was stupid, and it didnt compare to the other games.
Any Hope Reviving It? - Most Likely Not. About a 25% chance I'd say. Now that the Spyro trilogy is over (programmed by Estrages Libellules) I'm assuming someone else will have a chance to give life to Spyro. If the next few spyro games are no good, then I'd say all hope is lost.

Crash Bandicoot

What Happened? - Same thing as Spyro, It was a great series of games on the PS1, and will always be a remembered game. However starting on the PS2, it didnt go down the drain. The games stayed good, but nothing like the orginals. Now, we get these empty games, with no original crash type content. Now they use monsters, odd levels, and more combat, Crash Bandicoot for the PS1 was more of a platformer than an action game.
Any Hope Reviving It? - No. Since Crash games have been decent, they willl never go back to the way they should have been.
This Crash game was decent, but nothing like the originals. And Crash has a tatoo. Why?!
Sonic the Hedgehog

What Happened? - Slowly but surley, as time moved on, Sonic started to show his age, and no matter what Sonic Team did, they could not do anything right. They had thier major downfall after the 2D sonics. The majority ofthe 3D Sonics stunk. Sonic unleashed had levels that worked like the original games, and people loved those, but hated the werehog levels. Also, people really liked the 2D DS sonic games. Get the message Sega?
Any Hope Reviving It? - Yes! Sega revealed a new 2D Sonic game built from the ground up. This is what fans have been begging for. But will they do it right?

Guitar Hero
Original Developers- Harmonix
Current Developers- Neversoft
What Happened? - Harmonix was great at Guitar Hero. Chose great songs. Good graphic design and character modles And the made it guitar only. Neversoft came in, added the whole band, then focused on specific bands like Aerosmith. Since they added full band, we dont get songs like Jordan, or any guitar only songs. I full instruments stay with Rock Band, and Guitar Hero stay with Guitar. Also, Neversoft keeps changing the character models and graphics, and reusings songs constantly.
Any Hope Reviving It? - No, as time goes on, Neversoft will make money, and they will continue to compete with rockband. No hope saving this.
Yeah, its fake, but dont be suprised if Neversoft is thinking "I think we just stuck gold"
Donkey Kong

Current Developers- Nintendo
What Happened? - Nintendo had some great Donkey Kong games. But as of the gamecube, we havent seen much of him. Except for those stupid Bongo games. If we dont see a Wii Donkey Kong Country then i think Donkey Kong is dead.
Any Hope Reviving It? - Maybe, if Nintendo squeezes out a good, Bongo-less, Donkey Kong Wii game.
Nintendo, we need something like this, but a bit, newer, Bongo-less, and for Wii or DS. Can you do it?
