Saying that the bad games make the good game better is like saying that eating bad fruit first makes eating good fruit better, The reality is that you're likely to throw up on the bad before you make it to the good. mariostar0001

If you can't play it on your shiny plasma TV in HD no one gives a carp. That's my guess as to the "handhelds don't count" mindset.

Seriously though, all 5 of Sonic's non-GameGear handheld games have been awesome, and stayed true to the old formula (even if Rush Adventure did have boats, although the boating sections are actually pretty fun for the most part.) I can't really say much of the GameGear, built from the emulated games I've played on Sonic Adventure DX they're not so great.

Also, they have an argument, ridiculous though it may be, that motion control is lame. However, there's no real drawback to a touch screen, so maybe they just ignore the DS? Just a thought.

To be fair, at least Sonic's handheld games have been good. And Spyro had some decent handheld titles as well, not nearly as horrible as the newer console games. >_< Everyone always forgets the handheld games.

Anyway, I'd kinda like to see someone else take a spin at Sonic, at the very least. Maybe HAL? 

I suport this idea as well, especially because I kept being invited to a union that focuses on a console I don't even own. -_-
