Ratchet and clank is good. I'm even oddly tempted to get little big planet, not sure why. My guess is you wont be playing jericho or killzone 2 anytime soon(so much blood)
Static and electronics don't mix...that's why. It's a slim chance but, you could end up frying the PS3 due to all the static coming off a tv screen. Sony HAS to put every detail in there, cause if they didn't, somebody would be like "Hey! You never said that putting a PS3 next to a tv would fry it!"
Think of it as birth control. They say it's 99% effective. Yeah, it's 100% effective when you use it EXACTLY like it's supposed to be used, but they can't say that because they'd get the crap sued out of them.

Yeah i know my house caught fire when i was 5 because of static in my TV(A faulty componant in the tv allowed a build up).
