Hey blu ray can hold more game data than a doublelayer DVD.Wouldnt that mean games on PS3 would eventaully be better cause people can put more game data on it.

Blu Ray=25 gigs

Duoble layer DVD=9 gigs.

Sounds good in theory, but this is not the way it works unless you are getting at games that have a lot of movie clips, cgi, or lasts 200-300 hours of game content. As of right now DVD9 holds all the data needed to make a great game. Also amount of data has nothing to do with graphics for that matter. Ex. Oblivion was a masive game and If my memory surves me correctly it was arround 4GB of data. Not even half that of what a DVD holds. I think Sony added the Blu-ray more as a way to get HD movies and high def players on the street rather than a actuall need for holding more "game data"

That is my 2 cents that probably isn't worth 1;-)

True to an extent, but texture size could be significantly larger is a 50GB disc was standard. Bigger textures (HD) lead to better looks. A prime example is the HD remix of Street Fighter II. They're having a whale of a time trying to get the game under 150MB because HD textures are big. Granted that's not 9.6 GB, or even 50 GB, but the concept illustrates that more space would definitely open the realm of HD gaming that much more.

I wouldn't say that I hated the PS3, but I definitely never saw myself getting one over a 360. Ironically, I sold my 360 a couple of weeks ago and bought a PS3 60 GB. And I'm glad I did. For me, it's the better system now and going down the road. It has all the games I want to play that are also on the 360, and down the road the games I want to play will be cross platform. I'm more interested in exclusives like LittleBigPlanet and FFXIII rather than GoW2 (a 6 hour tech demo with a good deathmatch, in my opinion).

From an investment standpoint, the PS3 has built-in wi-fi, free online play, and a Blu-Ray disc drive. It's hard to fault it nowadays. A year ago, that was different, and I think a year from now it'll be even more apparent that the PS3 is a better choice all things considered.

I sold my 360 a few weeks ago and got a PS3 in its place. I just feel like it'll be the better system in a year. Blu-Ray winning the HD war and fear of the RRoD were the biggest factors. All the games I played/want to play on the 360 are coming out for the PS3, so I won't be missing much. The only thing I miss is sending/receiving voice messages in-game. But that'll change by the end of this year, so then my content transition will be complete.

I think you'll see a lot of people come to this realization in the coming months. The PS3, even the scaled down 40Gb, is just a better value. Integrated Wi-Fi, HD swapping, and Blu-Ray are the biggest sellers. It's hard to argue the logic, and by the time this becomes common knowledge, the 'craigslist' price of 360s will be a lot lower due to diminished demand. I sold now to be ahead of the curve. :)
