Nintendo doesn't control 3rd parties. They either want to develop for the console or they don't, unless they get bought like Microsoft does. I'm talking about Nintendo itself and it's efforts. The console is more hardcore oriented than the Wii for sure. Some announced games like Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade and FireEmblem...these are titles Nintendo is pushing.
People can't be happy, if Nintendo targets the casuals like the Wii, the hardcore cry. and when the system targets the hardcore like the Wii U, other people cry.
I'm not worried about the success of the Wii U, I know it will do great and has a nice year ahead of it. After Nintendo Direct I got one and can't wait for it to arrive. I got it for 270$ from Ebay. That's a great price for me. The controller is awesome and people don't know that the controller is a huge cost in itself.
From most screenshots, the 360 is always darker and doesn't look as appealing as the PS3 in most cases but the road textures are better on the in Assasin's Creed. On the orange box the PS3 screens look better but the frame rate issue is probably due to poor porting. GTA 4 also looks better on PS3 from the screenies, more vibrant. COD 4 screenies look better on the 360.
