I'm thankful for having a job, a great family, great friends, good music, good movies, good video games, good books, good television, and most of all, thankful that I live in such a great country. I love America, even though it (obviously) has its many flaws. People don't realize that though there is corruption in our government, and we're all paying for it, we still have it easier than 90 percent of the world. I'm thankful for our founding fathers who built this country on morals and civilized law. I'm enjoying just taking a step back from it all, and seeing that, though life is hard, and I'm not perfect, I have been given a great gift, and I shouldn't take it for granted. I have whined and complained about this or that, about the evil nature of man, about people I dislike for stupid reasons such as political or religious differences, and I realize I have been very immature, and that I have so much to be thankful for, as do we all. I have whined about my cell phone being a piece of junk, even though it functions fine. What was I complaining about? I was complaining about having a piece of freedom that most people in the world don't have, and never will, because it didn't live up to my expectations. I was complaining because I was being selfish, and I have alot to be thankful for. Happy holidays GS!
