Eldanesh1, to say that PC gaming is only where you'll find "hardcore" games is absurd to say the least. The only genre in which the PC market surpasses consoles in in RTS and MMORPG's, that is it. Half-life 2 is not WAY better than Halo 2 or 3. Half-life 2 (and the episodes)is an amazing game, but so is Halo 3 both in single player and multiplayer. I have always been gaming mainly on my PC due to RTS and FPS, but since Half-life 2 came out on the PC I really haven't been keeping my PC hardware up to date because it just isn't worth it. Yeah, the graphics are a little better, but so what? Most developers of PC games think it is worth it to consumers to simply crank out a new game every couple of years or so that requires massive upgrades in order to be played "as it should be". Sorry, but Crysis is not worth the upgrades required to play it. Sure, it is beautiful, and sure it will undoubtedly be a great game. But when I can play Halo 3, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 and Orange Box on my $400 Xbox, why on earth would I fork out more than that to play a game that will only be "prettier" than the ones I just mentioned? The PC gaming industry really needs to give their head a shake and realize that they will not have a place in 5-10 years if they keep up with their current strategies. The Console industry is growing at an insane pace (Thanks to things such as Xbox Live and the Wii), whereas the PC industry is lagging behind. Why is that?
