BioWare's making something story-based?

No way.

It's a really fun game, improved gameplay in basically every way from 2013's TR. I've always felt like the disconnect between narrative and gameplay is a bit much to get over (the sheer number of people you kill in these games is a bit high for the type of character they're trying to make with Lara), but it's still a great game, and gorgeous too. I definitely recommend it for PS4 players who haven't touched it yet.

One tip: if you're experienced with shooter games, play on Survivor difficulty. The game is incredibly easy without the extra challenge, and even on Survivor I found myself trying to avoid using the most powerful tools (poison arrows, instant-healing, etc).

If there are no mods for console, I can't recommend picking this up for ps4 instead of pc. After playing Enemy Unknown on console and playing XCOM 2 on pc, the mods have only enhanced how much deeper of an experience it is. It makes it fully customizable, too. Don't like a specific gameplay aspect (harsh mission timers, for instance?) Grab a mod that gets rid of it, and amp up the difficulty elsewhere. Or don't. I don't think I'd have been able to get into XCOM 2 without mods. With them, it's one of my favorite games currently.

The tutorial for the game in the alpha was quite poor, I think most people would agree. The game itself, in my opinion, is phenomenal, but there's a significant hurdle right at the start, with the control scheme. It takes time to get used to, and brand new players are going to be atrocious when they first start playing.

However, when you actually learn how to play this game properly, you realize just how deep the combat is, how varied the playstyles are, how to be aware of the map and game situation, everything. It only became really fun for me on the 3rd day of the alpha or so, and then I couldn't stop playing. I highly recommend signing up for the beta phase, to try out the game for yourself.

Eddie, The Rock said "Our dope 90's vintage costumes will all make sense when our plot's revealed. Truuuuuust me" He didn't call out Karen's costume specifically, instead referring to all of them. But hey, way to make an issue where there is none.

If The Point's really gone, I'm not sure what I'll keep coming back to the site for. Reviews are occasionally interesting, but most of the news isn't even game-related anymore. Regardless, thank you for the awesome work Danny and Andy. I'll be sure to follow whatever happens next.

Never sure what people want from Tomb Raider. The old games weren't selling, the franchise was dying. 2013's Tomb Raider, for better or worse, revitalized the series, and took it in a new direction. It sold quite well. You can argue all day about whether the changes were right for the series or not, but they definitely improved the future of it.

As for the video... meh, I remember most of this being said before the last game, how she touches the environment, gets dirty/bloody, etc. I look forward to trying it whenever it comes out on PS4 (this is far from a system seller for me), but I don't think it'll be anything special. Fun, sure, like the last one, but not spectacular.

Oh, so many memorable ones. Fallout 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect 2, and The Last of Us are the ones that immediately come to mind for me. But there's many more that I'm forgetting.
