eh I guess your right. I guess I thought he had a better season than that. Still not a bad year though. I would still take him over Flacco, Romo, and maybe Eli because I truly believe he is a great qb this season. Who cares what he did last season . . I'm picking him in the present and he is playing very well presently. I do not believe he is a one year wonder type of guy because I do not believe his supporting cast on offense is that good. He has stepped up his game.
btw you mentioned Vick in your post before. Vick hasn't had a good year passing until this season. I know he has always been a good running qb but I would rather have a accurate pocket passer than an athletic running average to below average passer.
It is all opinions. But Orton has been average at best and crappy at his worst till the first half of this season. ...like I said 'Derek Anderson' Romo has had GREAT years (3 in a row before this year). Flacco has been better till this year...same with Manning. Vick did better things early in his career than Orton and is playing better football than anyone right now. If you would take Orton over the QB's I named after a career of being crappy to average + 8 good games, then that is your choice in our imaginary GM game. But I would not. This all started b/c I said Denver is not great at any position on the field. They have maxed out their talent (all you can ask) -you said Orton was really good -I listed like 14 better QB's -you agreed with 10 to 11 of them...that still puts Orton as average (once you get past the top 10)lol fair enough

I know but have you seen Orton play this year?
Romo is a good qb but not great and really overrated IMO. I never been a fan of Flacco. I think hes just a above average qb . . nothing great. Eli had that Super Bowl season and he looked really good in the clutch in the Super bowl which is a big plus for me . . but the turnovers concern me and he seems to go through hot and cold streaks. I'm not sure if I wouldn't take him over Orton though.
...Orton has had a great half season (Derek Anderson anyone)...call me when he plays at least 'good' for a couple years (like Eli, Romo, and Flacco) -before this year, the best Orton ever did was be a game manager (like Trent Dilfer) for the BearsI strongly disagree. As I said in my edit, Orton played very well last year but just didn't get much praise from the national media.

I thought they were one of the best . . . and then last week happened.
I wouldnt worry about it. After the Cowboys got a new coach I think they would have rather died then face the embarrassment of loosing again, cause with a new coach they had no excuse and no one to blame but themselves. And luck was bound to switch back into their favor eventually, the giants just picked the wrong week to play them.. I mean the patriots didnt have the best of weeks before last week.. but now after the most recent game everyone seems to be back on their side because of one game. I think people just shift their opinions on teams too much because of one game.
I agree with your post. I definitely don't think their a bad team but losing to the Cowboys concerned me . . . even though they fired Wade Phillips. I honestly don't think the Cowboys are nearly as talented as people say they are. Their O-line is bad. With exception of one player (maybe two), their front 7 is bad. Their secondary is pretty awful. But at least they got all those receivers . . . I'll die of laughter if they pick another receiver in the first round.
