I have Halo-itis!

I hadn't played Halo in a long time. Then Halo Waypoint comes out for free to Gold members on Xbox Live. It's not a game, it's a hub for all things Halo. I check it out. I love it. I start playing Halo 3 again while fondly remembering playing system link for Halo 1 and 2 back in the old Xbox days. Oh jesus, I've fallen in love with Halo, again...

I rent Halo 3: ODST and Halo Wars I have been enjoying them immensely. If you haven't played Halo you should check it out. For you PC "fanboys" (I use that term with love) you can get the first and second Halo games for PC. Sorry PS fanatics you'll S.O.L.

Hope to see ya on LIVE...

Movie Habits

So since the Xbox 360 is out of comission right now, I've been watching a ton of movies. So today's list is of horror movies that I've watched within the last week:

In the Mouth of Madness, The Omen, Event Horizion, See No Evil (2006), The Grudge (2005), Ginger Snaps, Shaun of the Dead, The Thing (1982), Inferno, and The Host.

If you're slightly curious about my movie collection please copy/paste text below:

More blubbering...

Well the Xbox 360 is still in the shop. Punch Out!! is fun but I've been playing de Blob more than anything for the Wii.

No PS3 yet, maybe later this month. We'll see how it goes. I've also been playing GTA: Chinatown Wars for the DS. It's pretty fun.

Xbox, Wii, PS3 talkin' part 2

Well... Wii Sports Resort was a bust since I didn't have the "Wii Motion Plus". So Punch-Out! should be here tomorrow. My Xbox360 is at the shop in TX. and should be back hopefully before Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 comes out.

On the PS3 front... it depends when I get my check from work and how much it is. I'm owed a far bit right now but after bills I'll see what I can do. Can't wait for Smackdown Vs Raw 2010. :D

Xbox, Wii, PS3 talkin'

Just got the shipping label for my Xbox 360 planning to send it on Monday. Going to get Mario Kart and Wii Sports Resort through Gamefly that will be fun.

Should be getting a PS3 in the next few months so I can rock Smackdown vs Raw 2010 in October with one of my homies out on the West Coast.

Third RROD! :(

Well it's happened again. My Xbox 360 has gotten the 3rd RROD's. I should be sending it in this week sometime. Looks like I'll be switching up the GameFly GameQ to some Wii titles...

At least the warranty is still covered.

New Games, Part 2

So got Animal Crossing: City Folk and Super Paper Mario for the Wii through Gamefly. I'm loving on Animal Crossing though I've already sent in Super Paper Mario. The next game that should be coming is either Bioshock or WWE SvR 2008. I've played Bioshock before but it's been forever and I want to try and get further than I did last time. That should keep me busy until Batman: Arkham Asylum comes out... then it's Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Yes, I'm a comic nerd.

New Games and Old Faves.

So the next Wii game we got was de Blob. It's a fun game and my wife is playing right now. Tomorrow or Wednesday we'll have We Love Katamari for the PS2 coming in the mail. I've also signed up again to Gamefly so I can test Wii games before I buy them and I can also get more achievements on new 360 games. I think the first two on the list are Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii and Ghostbusters for the 360. Should be fun! I'll let everyone know how they are when I get a chance to check them out!

Also, if you look at my game collection it is slightly inaccurate. I don't actually own all the Atari 2600 or the N64 or Gamecube games (anymore). I just started adding (and trying to remember) all the games I've played in my past. Happy Viewing.

:)

I miss you.... horror films?!?

Where have all the good horror movies gone? Seriously. I look back on my childhood nigh seventeen plus years ago and fondly remember the movies that scared the living crap out of me: Jaws, Lifeforce, The Howling, etc. and I look at what has been going on since the mid-nineties and I'm blown away. Half of it was teen slasher second generation pics like I Know What You Did Last Summer and schlock like that. Scream really F-bombed it up for me. Thanks Wes Craven, we love you so...

Don't get me wrong some films since then have been great a thought-provoking. After The Butterfly Effect I just had to sit down and think. I remember feeling dirty after watching Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects. Both amazing films in this modern horror age. Between Scream and The Devil's Rejects it is nine years. Wow, I'm old :)

I posted on many other forums what my favorite horror movie is of all time. It's a cheesy piece of camp called The Dunwich Horror, it so old and cheap it comes in a two pack dvd with Die, Monster, Die! I love it so, if you can sit through it and enjoy it fully, well... welcome to the club!

If you're interested check out imdb.com for all the above movies.

Nintendo Wii, Part Two.

Got the Wii last week. Picked up Wii Play with it for the Wiimote. Wii Sports is fun though I need to practice on the Tennis because I am really bad at it. I think when I get paid again I'll pick up MadWorld or Punch Out!

It's a great system, though I owned the original Nintendo in 1985 when I was younger, so maybe I'm biased. I digress. Fun and engaging gameplay. Good times!
