I thought it would be cool if we could share what anime was the first one we ever watched, and how did it evolve. I'll start as an example.
The first anime I remember watching was Mazinger Z, and Spacekeeters and I was 4-5 years old. believe it or not, my first anime experience was not in the U.S., but Ecuador - South America. My father is a Marine Biologist, and I had to live in the Galapagos Islands for almost a year. I watched my first Anime in Spanish, not being able to understand crap about it. But then I was able to understand it. Back in the U.S. I watched Saint Seiya (uncut version) at the age of 6 to present, being followed by Ranma 1/2 at the age of 9, and later on Pokemon at the age of 10-11. Finally I watched DBZ, and DBGT from 11-13 (yes that's right, 6 years ago I had already watched the ending of DBGT) The funny thing is that I watched DBGT in Spain because my parents had some business to do there, and I end up living for 6 months over there, thus finally becoming fluent in Spanish. After that I came back, and watched DBZ and DBGT in English. Then I watched Yu-gi-oh at the age of 15, and that was it until the English version of Naruto aired on Cartoon Network.
lol, I know I totally overdid it. I just want to know what was your first, and favorite anime. My first anime was Mazinger Z, and my favorite anime is Saint Seiya (AKA Knights of the Zodiac) trust me, the version shown in the US was nothing compare to the original version.
PS: I said I watched Saint Seiya since I was 6 till present, because due to popularity, and demand of fans, the manga producer is doing a final season to end the anime after 8 years of inactivity.
