gaming seems 2 be changing 2 much

Well it has been a long time as far as blog entries are concerned. I really can not emphasize how much gaming in the next gen era has pleased me and hurt me. For instance there is virtually no good rpgs for sony's ps3, which brings me to my next rant about how there are wayyyy too many first person shooters. I find myself going to a vidoe game store and looking at older titles rather than new titles purely because of the reason i gave in my previous sentence along with the lack of game time hours being severly lacking. Don't get me wrong i luved bioshock, call of duty 4 and uncharted but it seems that developers are too conservative or should i say pessimistic with the outcome of thier games that they only develop it to last 8-12 hours! Maybe I'm just too impatient with the whole we have to research this and research that to make games more profitable again, but if i have to buy 3 different systems just to play games that piqued my interest.

Basically what it boils down to is there is no variety on just 1 system anymore, but alas I will have to say that it is nice to see rythm games finally taking off as I am a avid musician and music lover. Rock band is most definitely the most fun i have had in ages, probably not since playing ff7 and playing my n64 which I still play often. My other crutch that fixes my need for rpgs is world of warcraft which is an amazing and huge game in case of those who are on the fence about having to pay for an incurring monthly cost to play a game you have already bought. All in all I guess I can wait a few years to see what finally becomes of these systems, and thats my 2 cents.

New apartement

Well I have finally moved into my apartement as of september 3. I have unpacked and set up all of my things as of today and I love playing warhawk online! This game is so addicting for me, because of all the different kinds of vehicles, turrets, aircraft and being able to go out on foot is awesome.

Living in a apartment is pretty hard on the wallet though I gotta say. Espescially when you get paid bi-weekly and your rent and car insurance are due at the start of each month! But any how I gotta clean my dishes so long for now.

wtf!!!!!!!!!

So all I seem to hear about is "that game got pushed back to a later date" when I go to check out that new game that was supposed to come out that particular week. I don't know about most people but it sure is getting annoying when you own a ps3 and your hobbies include gaming. So I recently got the idea that maybe a pc or 360 is in my future if these ps3 games get pushed back again. I also recently thought of taking up paintball as a extra hobby, I mean it seems cheap enough because all you have to buy is the gun and the helmet/body armor and the paintballs, plus the membership fee for the facility of my choice.

So anyways I recently went to my family reunion and had a blast. We had a live band that did covers of anything you could think of, and lots of drinks.:D There were so many people I did not know I was related to, and it was kinda of scary.

Recently I have been looking to move out and its hard finding a place that is decent without spending your whole paycheque on rent! So many stingy landlords that wont even bargain with a price, so the search goes on! Along with my missing ps3 titles.

A new union

Wow this is cool, not to sound spastastic or anything, but I got invited to join the pokemon gym union! On that note I accept this great honour lol! But seriously I likey alot because it is my favourite game! Can't wait to get my high speed internet dish to play wifi on pokemon diamond with the union.

So enough about the union no matter how great it is lol. I recently rented the darkness for ps3 and enjoyed it thouroughly, not as much as re 4 wii edition but it did captivate me long enough to play it for 2 hours straight. Only pokemon and resident evil games can do that to me. I would like to point out though that I don't think it is worth buying for 69.99 canadian!

So now I don't have a reason to rant about the 360's being horrible with this new 3 year warranty program that is now in effect. I gotta hand it to them for doing this but my heart still lies with sony and nintendo. This reason being that when I had owned the 360 and the original xbox I found the games to be horribly short and shallow on content because of the xbox live content which you have to pay for, I know lots of you have probably heard that from people but that is why I defected from the 360.

I decided to wait to see Transformers the movie because it simply seemed uninteresting in the previews because its alot like all of these movies that revolve around the idea that we will be invaded by something that will kill us or take us over. What I'm trying to say is I have seen too many of these movies that's all, not to bash transformers because I really like transformers evere since I was small.

Waiting is the hardest part

Well since my last blogmuch has happened, wether or not it is life changing is up to you. I again went to the movies with my friend because he was interested in seeing the fantastic four movie. Well all I have to say was it was like watching F1 racing cars pass you by. They rushed through the movie so fast without tying into reasons for why certain events were happening, needless to say it was all about jessica alba losing her clothes. Overall it was decent but not fantastic as the title suggests. Also I recently picked up RE4 wii edition and was blown away at how amazing it was. I realize that alot of people have already played the previous versions and for me being an xbox fan when it was current gen, had missed out on it. The game gives me that same feeling I got from playing all other RE's, plus the added bonus of having wii controls and a behind the player third person view like ghost recon! But enough of the obvious details. Right now I find myself playing my wii far more than my ps3. Not because it is more popular, but because the games for wii are there, where as the ps3 there is only resistance and oblivion. I played motor storm for a while and find it to be a very good looking game, but like everyone who has played it, Ifind it shallow on extras that I now take for granted from games such as need for speed and gran turismo. Here's hoping that the darkness and lair are more in depth!

Last night

After work went with a buddy to see pirates of the carribean. I was not amazed and yet not let down. It touches base with many mysteries that were left in the second film "dead man's chest" and is definitely a movie that you can bring your whole family to to laugh. I finally have my collection of games completed since my break in as well. While at the movie I saw a movie trailer for Transformers and I gotta say that I am actually excited for this one. Besides the autobots and decepticons not talking in the preview it still seemed worthwhile. I also have to say I am officially addicted to pokemon once again lol! Thats it.

Life is great!

The time between my last blog and now I have resolved the robbery with my insurance, picked up pokemon diamond and pearl. The sun has come out this weekend and the water at the beach was great according to my parents!LOL. Pokemon this time around is great on the ds! This whole robbery ordeal has made me realize we still have alot of horrible things in this world that people choose to ignore rather than think about. It's not like it was a big shock but it still intrigues me as how they knew that I had these items when I live out in the middle of nowhere, like 40 minutes away from the closest town. But like the topic said life is still great and it is always dynamic.

Jankness

I got janked!

Man this blows I just got robbed last night. They took all my gaming gear. I am so angry i decided to start my blog with this. They took my 60gb PS3, 42 inch toshiba plasma HD tv. All my games for it and my DS and games for it as well. Today I think I am going to get a PSP with my insurance money. Don't really know yet though.
