and even if the farcry editor wasn't popular, that certainly doesn't mean the crysis editor won't be popular too - i for example am pretty much entirely buying crysis for the editor
i hated the farcry campaign, especially (like everyone else) once the mutants got in there, and i doubt i'll like the crysis campaign - technology is crytek's strongsuit, not game structure

AHEM... mutants and feral abilities , for me were the highlight of the original far cry on consoles, it's what separated the 2 games making them both entirely playable even if you'd played the other, i understand completely how these abilities are not suited to the PC versions of this game but when you've an analogue pad in your hand theres nothing better than slicing up an oaf in a beautiful jungle online with your fingernails on a map you created yourself, I hope far cry 2 on consoles will keep these features whil on PC they keep them out.
Crysis on the other hand has implemented these features on PC as genetic enhancements.. they are exactly the same and yet people are accepting and even loving them (go figure)
I will be buying both Crysis and Far Cry 2 solely for the editors, and When FC2 and rumoured down-spec Crysis hit 360 later this year I will buy them both again, for the editors AND hopefully feral abilities on Far Cry
