I don't see a future for desktop PC's.

razgriz_101

All analysts agree there's a good future for desktop PCs. What's more, laptops are still growing and gaming on them is booming.

meanwhile dvd players are crashing and burning, so are dvd sales. It's dying media. And since according to you people buy consoles primarly to play DVD movies..then well..

No matter how you look at it consoles will die out far sooner than PCs will

Consoles will more than likely just evolve not die.

That is the point consoles only evolve when they release the next gen PC's are always evolving because there's always new hardware or software coming out.

[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"][QUOTE="ionusX"] with 575 bucks you can curbstomp next gen consoles. @ 800 your doing 1080p high settings gameplay on most games

NoodleFighter

always hate how hermits usually lie. Its still rare to find a pc for less than 800 or even a 1000 that is going to be able to play all the latest games today are their highest settings and maintain that for more than a year before your lowering settings just to keep up. P.S: Maybe f2p games.

The latest games can very whether high settings or not. cause derp not every game is at the same technical level.

The consoles don't even play games at high settings and low settings in some games is already beating it.

You dont find many PC's that are cheap and can play games on high becuase PC gamers build their own systems or get someone else to build it for them which is cheaper than buying it pre built.

Why would you want XBL on your PC. If you want it you would get an xbox. Plus it would mean less exclusives for Xbox because PC can have them too.

The problem is that these gamers will soon realize they need to spend 20.000$ to get the same experience as with a 300$ xbox 720 in a 8 years time span

Actually the experience on PC with the horrid controls, beta games and zero exclusives is 1000x worst

My £400 PC can play most games on max apart from AA which i put on about x4 and the controls are better than a controler because there is no lag and it is more precise.

PC gaming can include Facebook games and little internet flash games. So if you asked 100 people do you play games on the PC then 90% of them will say yes.

Yes i am sure that they will put a £400 graphics card in there. If it were to have 16 cores it would need to have 2 eight core processors which cost around £200+ on a full atx motherboard which cost about £100+. then there's the ram and power supply. So if what your saying is true then the next gen consoles will be the same size as a PC and cost around £600+. Ya not going to happen
