Gothic 1,2, dont know about 3. Gothic 1 and 2 you start out like a total looser, getting beat the hell up is your first view of the world (gothic 1), you even start at level 0 not 1 like most games hehe. Climbing your way up from a total looser to hero(kind of) is totally great in gothic 1 and 2. I recommend them if you can deal with the outdated graphics.

@kieranb2000 Has Gothic 3 been fixed to a playable state via patches? From what I know this game was marred by a lot of bugs and technical issues.

@Guiltfeeder566 Might give Sins of a Solar Empire a shot, looks really nice and Homeworld'ish which I loved.

@chessmaster198 Not a fan of games after movies after books. I'm going for Dawn of War RTS wise while I wait for Starcraft 2.

@Maddie_Larkin Waiting for the enhanced version of Witcher to come out. Already finished Mass Effect, awesome RPG.

If you are going for an 8800 GTX make sure you have PSU that can handle it, this board jacks an extra 100W from the PSU when it goes over 70-80% load, aka when you pump the AA up. I'd recommend at least a 650W PSU from a good brand aka Antec/Chieftec/etc.

Hmm, generally not the type to go for the eye candy but seeing as I would love to see how it runs on the new rig I will give Grid a shot, definetely looks like the pretties game in the racing genre, at least untill NFS Undercover comes out.

Company of hereos and Dawn of War sound good RTS wise and from reviews here on GS, sins of a solar empire seems to have a shoddy campaign mode from what I understand though. Portal meh totally forgot about that, it ran on my old rig but crappy, gotta give that another spin. VTM Bloodlines again worth another spin since it was very choppy on my old rig. Which one of those racing games would be the most fun? Grid seems to be the coolest. Race 07? Don't think I have heard of this one.

Hey everybody as the title sais I just got a new PC after struggling for years with my old one, 4 years to be exact, not even gonna mention the specs because they were shameful considering today's standards.

Anyway here is my new rig:

M2N SLI-Deluxe n570

AMD 5600+ X2 64bit

4GB Corsair XMS2 DHX 4-4-4-12 DDR2 800mhz

9600 GT 512 DDR3 TOP (OC'ed 10%) X2 SLI

I was wondering if there are any games I forgot about in the past 4 years that are worth playing on my new rig. So far I got Mass Effect and Assassin Creed. Both new and awesome graphics wise. I should mention that I dislike FPS games, so Crysis, Prey or whatever FPS games were launched in the past 4 years do not interest me.

tl;dr Games worth playing from the past 4 years.

Actually the ballistic system in Stalker is more realistic than any other game to date. Bullets are affected by gravity, wind, friction, etc; any other FPS game throws bullets in a straight line which is hardly close to reality.

If you loved the first one your going to enjoy the sequel too. Kotor 2 was a bit rushed out but its still a good game and worth playing.
