Wrong Units

In Medal of Honor: Vanguard has you as a soldier named Keegan in the 82nd Airborne. But the unit placing is all wrong. He lands at Sicily which would have been the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR). But he doesn't land at Salerno for Operation Avalanche. In Operation Neptune, he lands in a WACO glider, he might have been transfered to the 319th, 320th or 325th but probabley not. Also were the 507th and 508th PIR. Next he lands in Holland for Operation Market Garden, the 504th PIR was reassigned to the 82nd after its combat in Anzio so the 507th was reassigned to the 17th Airborne. And after Operation Market Garden, both divisions were sent to Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge. Which didn't happen in the game. And the unit placement doesn't make any sense. The 82nd didn't jump in Varsity so it had to be 17th. Medal of Honor: Airborne improved it a little but it has a similar problem.

Weapons that Call of Duty: World at War should have

The Pacific Theather isn't as covered by popular video game companies. Only a few like Medal of Honor: Pacfic Assault and Rising Sun. There are weapons that are uncommon if not extinct to the European Theather.

M1941 Johnson Rifle

M1941 Johnson Light Machine Gun

M50 Reising SMG

M55 Reising SMG (M50 w/folding stock)

M1928A1 Thompson SMG (Navy Issue Thompson, Army used the M1 and M1A1 seen in the European Theather)

M1917 Smith & Wesson or Colt Revolver

M2 Flamethrower

Call of Duty Deluxe Edition

The Call of Duty Deluxe edition was the first place i ever saw CoDuO and i bought in a blink. It has the CoD1, CoDuO, the soundtrack and the official strategy guide. It is awesome if you want CoDuO and don't have Call of Duty 1.

A Large Improvement To To Best Game of 2003

Call of Duty: United Offensive had many improvements, it had a bomber mission where you have to protect a British B-17 and open the bomb bay doors. It has new orchestra music, which is first heard in the opening clip. It has an adition of several awesome vehciles like the Elefant Heavy Tank, the SU-152 Heavy Tank, M4 Sherman Tank and many different aircraft like the Yak-9, P-48, Me-109, He-111, B-17, Spitfire and from the old Call of Duty, Stuka. Since it is the Battle of the Bulge, you do not see any C-47's like in the old one. It also has the adition of LMG, new HMG, and cool other weapons like the Gewehr 43, the SVT-40 and the Panzerschrek. In Multiplayer, it has a rank system, which is based on the tens of people you kills. Theres also a new mode called Base Assault where tank have to bombard a bunker and then infantry storm the place and set explosives. I give this game a 9.0!

The First Person Shooter With The Best Multiplayer

Yes it is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare! Although the singleplayer is relatively short, the multiplayer is complex and fun! It has different ranks from lvl 1 or Private to lvl 55 or Commander. On the consoles, there is a priesteige mod where there are 10 extra ranks. There are at least two dozen perks that give you more advantages like the Steady Aim or Deeper Penetration. There are also challenges which you unlock as you gain rank, these keep you playing for a while. Most people are never satisfied until they complete them all. Besides that, it's just fun to play it. There are about 20 maps and they have given us 5. Snow Crash in the version 1.4 for PC which is like the Crash map except with a Christmas theme. When you call in airstrikes, you can here bells are you can also hear: "Ho, Ho, Ho!". In v1.6, we got Killhouse, Chinatown (based on CoD Carentan), Broadcast and Creek. Killhouse is based on the level "F.N.G." in the SAS training compound. Broadcast is based on the level "Charlie Don't Surf" in the TV station. Chinatown is for fun based on teh original Call of Duty map Carentan, this one is in San Francisco and against the Russians. Creek is based on the level where you have to hunt down Al-Asad. The singleplayer also has an originality. You can collect intel which look like laptops, they lead to cheat codes at the end of the game, they are disguised and hid throughout the game. Also, it's not like those World War II ones, where you win the war and come home with all your squad alright. Gaz dies, most of the marines were wiped out in teh nuclear blast. Griggs, the marine who made it out, died. Captain Price died, even though it looks like a Russian Medic was trying to revive him, with the cheat noclip, you can spectate the progress, but he quits shortly before the screen turns white. And after he hands you the gun, he dies, so it's hard to believe that after all that time past, he could still be revived. And after Soap is lifted up, the screen turns white, like Jackson's did when he died, so this might mean Soap died also. You did kill Al-Asad and teh Zakhaevs, so you did have an impact on the war. Also, there is a reporter at the end that gives information about leadership struggles (probabley about Zakhaevs death), nuclear missile tests and a lost Russian Cargo ship in teh Bering Sea (probabley the one that the SAS team raided). The entire war only took a week, but that was a big week.

Gotham Games Low Game Quality

The games that Gotham games makes, primarily Conflict: Desert Storm, Conflict: Desert Storm 2: Back to Baghdad and The Great Escape have a low game quality. For Desert Storm, the graphics are terrible, every soldier in the game you see looks either like Jones, Bradley, Connor or Foley. You can choose between British SAS or American Delta Force but I don't see the point. All it changes are the outfits and the accents. In Desert Storm 2, it is quite an improvement. The graphics are a bit better, the soldiers around you look different, the Iraqi soldiers have different uniforms, and the training sequence is more creative than the original Desert Storm's. It has this little clip of the team doing ambushes and sabotage before they start the initial mission. You can still choose between British or American and it still doesn't make a difference. The Great Escape I say is 50 times better than the Conflict Games. It has way better graphics, nice talking parts, characters, and best of all, World War II. The Great Escape is based off the movie and follows it close character wise, but it adds extra things, including how MacDonald and Sedgewick got captured. You can play as 3 characters, Sedgewick, MacDonald, Hendley and Hilts. Hilts has his talking taken straight out of the movie, must have not found anyone who sounded a bit like him. The rest are done by actors, not teh ones from the movie though. It is more creative all together, you can be in a German Uniform, Civilian Uniform, Worker Uniform or Prisoner Uniform. You are on a train, in a camp, in a bomber, in the countryside, a truck depot, Austria, Switzerland, your all over the place! When they actually do escape, the game developers wanted a happy ending so they made MacDonald, Hilts, Sedgewick and Hendley escape instead of captured like they were in the movie. I give this game a 7.5 out of 10.

Hand Held Games Aren't That Good

Hand Held Games like Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, Medal of Honor Heroes 1 and 2 haev horrible graphics. I don't have that much to say in Meda of Honor Heroes besides confusing gameplay, bad graphics and awkward controls. Call of Duty: Roads to Victory is a different story. It isn't confusing, but it does have bad graphics, the PSP controls are awkward, even after you've been playing on the Playstation with the PS2 controler. It does not have any storyline. It is a random soldier for every mission except a few where you come back. You can shoose wheather you want to play Canadian, American or British. There is a bomber sequence much like Call of Duty: untied Offensive, but with the awkward controls it's hard to get a beat on the ME-109's. But, if you are desperate for a game and you're away from your TV or the computer, I can recommend this game for you, but, if you have access to a consoel or computer game, play that instead.
