I sit at my computer thinking why? Cross platform is a great idea not being used. Even with computers excluded its still an amazing idea that is not being utilized to its fullest potentional. Think xbox vs ps vs wii, how epic would that be. It would be the greatest thing to ever happen to life. Plus it would add much needed life to some of the games that have been just forgoten about. Maybe add a centralized xboxlive kinda thing that makes all platforms pay less for more gamers. Think your buddy with a ps3 vs you on madden on a 360 or wii. Or the fps games cross platform games. To even add to it the MGL would no longer have to seperate some of the catagories. But i will say i do think the platforms sould mantian their exclusive games and content, as incentive to sway gamers to go one way or another. Another thing cross platform could improve is coop. Gunning down aliens with some one on a ps3, this notion would deffinatly make more fanboys less fanboyish. I for one would love to be the first to sign up for this program/service.A company might move more units. Really good example. Rockband. Whats going to happen to the game in like 2-3 years. Its going to be out dated. But thats a big investment to be fazed out in a few years. So if cross platform was implamented then you would have a lot more replayability over the internet. And you the consumer wouldent have to spend another x amount of cash to get rockband 2. Bottem line is that you will have more people to play games with not just sell it back to the store because the community left for the next game. Think of this next case. Your a huge pc gamer. You pick up a xbox or a playstation, for some sports games and some rpgs. all this is the last gen stuff. You take it home and pop in a game and the community is booming because 1000s of people around the world either did the same thing you did and just got a last gen console or they like this game the best. Even if it was 100 people that would give you more people to play with than if there was no cross platform and now your stuck with 2 people. Lastly Cross platform needs to become more of a main stay than something some one crazy though up. Online coop needs to be in more games. Thanks for reading
